This is boring but I am just happy to be able to watch whatever movie I want! That hurt me the most. I hated being excluded because I was too young. "Christine" was on and they made me go to my room when we had company. I was so hurt. They eventually felt bad and let me come back out. I was so mad though. I don't think I cared about the movie though. Just being sent away.

I feel you there, Woo. Which reminds me, someday, I need to hire a stripper.
Man, it was really tempting to leave it there. My mom was pretty cool, and I was a well behaved kid, so when she went to her friend's bridal showers, I got to go along. I remember 2 showers where they hired a stripper and I had to go sit in the other room until it was over. One time I got put in a bedroom and they turned on the tv for me, but nothing would come in. Also, for my step-grandpa's 50th birthday they hired a belly dancer, and my cousin got to stay out in the living room, but I had to leave the room (my cousin was the same age as me). Later my mom came back and let me come out, but I was still hurt by it.
Throwing away tupperware containers if the leftovers are too gross. (Granted, for that reason I have Gladware and recycled butter tubs, but my mom would insist on keeping and cleaning those.)

Oh, which reminds me of another: Throwing out containers and lids that no longer have matches.

Agreed. The margarine and coolwhip containers were big in our house. And we kept those things around forever.

My parents actually let me drink a little whenever they did. But they didn't drink much. And they hate wine. I moved out and got a friend to buy me a bottle of Riunite Lambrusco, and I fell in love.
Being able to play my music as loud as I want!! My mom and dad were strictly country music fans; they hated--absolutely hated--rock & roll music. Every time I'd try to listen to the radio or play my records in my room, they were always yelling at me to "turn that damn noise down!!!" Now I can listen to my music as loud as I wanna.
And just for the record......I have never, ever told either of my girls to turn down their music. We rock out together in my house.
