Lunch: Sushi and green tea with honey. I've also got some yogurt, grapes, and a cookie for a mid afternoon snack.
Weather: Freaking Beautiful. Sunny with a few big fluffy white clouds, 81 degrees, with a slight breeze.
Soda: I made me a tasty vanilla creme soda last weekend, and it was really easy. Club soda, vanilla, and sugar. Since I don't drink pop much anymore, most of the stuff I can have is too sweet, so I could make it myself with just the right amount of sweetness.
Just finished a South Beach Chicken Parmesan, it is 88 here and rain from Fay is coming, I had a Diet Dr Pepper last week to help alleviate a headache!
How do you get the sugar in without losing all the carbonation? I would think the stirring would really spend a lot of it.
That's a neat idea though, I'm gonna have to try it. You could make any flavor soda you can imagine!
I pour the sugar in first. Then when I pour the sode in it mixes with the sugar. I still stir it a little bit, and there's always a little sugar in the bottom, but it works well enough for me.

Genius!
Do you know about how much sugar you put in compared to ounces of water? Or do you just eyeball it?

I just eyeball it, but I would guess it's about 3 tablespoons. But sometimes I'll taste and adjust as needed.
Again, I haven't measured it, but I'm guessing it's less calories than regular pop too. And cheaper. Club soda is $0.80 at most for a 2 liter, and I'm sure it's a lot cheaper from a discount store. And I use imitation vanilla.
