Here. We don't have dental insurance this month and my husband's wisdom teeth have gone full blown with pain. Due to a switch in insurance it doesn't kick back in until Sept. Poor guy is suffering

Today we have the stupid Charter Technician coming out after work to prove we don't have a 2nd cable box. They keep charging us for a 2nd one. All the other months we got an english speaking person who also showed we only had one box and gave us a new total to pay. This time my husband was tired of having to call every month and complained but got stuck with a foreigner who thought that he had called him as a courtesy call He scheduled the technician saying that was the only thing he could do. Why were the other people able to do differently? You mean they can't tell on their end what is hooked up for their service? If we had another box, what would stop us from hiding the box while the technician is here? It's such bull!

I've got friday off for the Harley Fest, but I am out of vacation time. So I am going in early and staying late to get 8 extra hours in before friday.

Kinda bummed, but not too bad. I have friends that used to sell kites that has a set I'd like to have. Since they don't fly any more, and since this weekend is our one, big, yearly kite fly, I called to see if they wanted to sell that set. No luck . . . which is fine, but he almost sounded offended that I'd ask.

With fall only a few weeks away, I'm really noticing how much shorter the days are. Its darker in the mornings when I get up and gets dark much earlier. I notice myself in the evening feeling like it should be about 9:30 when the clock only says 8:00.

Morning everyone.  I'm doing some laundry this morning, then have to pack again.  We're going up to my dad's place on Thursday for the holiday weekend and taking the camper with us this time.  My brothers and their families will all be there too.  It'll be fun to have the whole family together for the holiday...that doesn't happen too often anymore. 

Hubby just called and he set up a doctor's appointment. I guess he will try to get some meds. I will be hitching a ride home a bit early with my supervisor.

We're FINALLY getting some solid rain here What's left of Hurricane Fay is gonna keep passing over us until Wednesday.

The auto dealership called late last night to accept the offer I made on the extended warranty. I really believe they were holding out thinking I'd cave and just come in and pay the original price.

The guy had made a comment to me that it had to be done by Friday night, five business days after the sale of the car, but he never called me back after saying he had to look into if they could accept $400 less for the warranty. Then last night he called and said they would do it.

Other than that, not much going on today. I'm looking forward to the big Brewer game tonight vs. the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals fans are clamoring for a two game sweep. They say anything less is the end of their season. I say, let's end their season!

School started almost 2 weeks ago here. My son, the social butterfly, was jacked to see all his friends again. He hates summer because he doesn't get to see his friends as much. I just keep wondering where the dang summer went....

That's what Web said too.  To be honest, I didn't know either.

The guy screwed up when he was pressuring me to sign the contract the day I bought the car.  He was putting the full court press on and when I said I needed a few days to decide he said "well if it's a money issue we can work with you, we want our customers to be covered against problems".

So then I knew

After doing some research on the internet I found out that you absolutely want to counter-offer on the warranty becasue it's no different from anything else they sell.

They get a wholesale price from the warranty company and can mark it up as much or as little as they wish.

 

And I have been paying full price. grrr

Morning all. I'm sleepy... but Pambo is right... It's a beautiful day here. Just about perfect. I'd love to be laying in a lounge chair on my patio. Can't do it though... busy day at the office. Ah well.

I am having digestion issues today.

Time Warner sucks out loud, but they show up when they have an appointment, I'll give them that much.
