X-Files star David Duchovny checks into rehab for Sex Addiction

This is one of my favorite new rehab treatments of the last twenty years.  I'm not a hound dog, a slime ball, a serial cheater, or a womanizer.  I just like sex too much, it's a sickness really.  lol.

I watched one episode of Californication and knew he had issues.

Californication and X-Files star David Duchovny has checked into rehab for sex addiction, his lawyer Stanton Larry Stein confirmed to Access Hollywood.

I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction, the actor said in a statement released to Access. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.

David married actress Téa Leoni in 1997. They have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.

well, I dunno. I didn't watch much X files. But he's kinda more like Alan Alda than say Clint Eastwood....hmm.gif

I loved the X-Files. Watched that show all the time. Seen the movie too.

I guess part of what I find appealing about him is that I have heard him speak in non-scripted interviews and he is actually very intelligent and well spoken. That goes a long way with me. He is actually well educated, not just a Hollywood pretty boy.

I loved X-Files too and Duchovneys one of those guys you'd love to hang out at the bar with I think.

Great dry sense of humor, very witty. Plus he loves baseball.

It's hard to imagine that being a problem, but I'd suppose just about anything can be an addiction. I just don't understand how one is cured? Drug addicts are supposed to abstain, so are alcoholics... does that mean one has to live a nookieless life? weirdface.gif Don't know if I'd want to do that one.

Reminds me of a sex addict joke:

This guy goes to the doctor and says:

Mema, actually, that is it. Abstinence. I'm sure it would be harder for a celebrity, because there would be a lot less women who would turn him down.

Wade Boggs WAS a Red Sox player wasn't he. Man, that seems like a million years ago. They seemed like a different team. I actually liked em' back then wink.gif

Yes Wade was a Red Sox.... and I remember him playing out as away teams, and the crowd would chant .... "Margo".... "margo".... over and over again.

Wade Boggs was third basemen for the Boston Red Sox from 1982 to 1992, before being traded to the New York Yankees. Wade was a left hander, and pretty much dominated the American League when it came to batting. In his rookie year of 1982, Wade batted an incredible batting average of .349 just a preview of what he was capable of.

Over the next ten years, Wade Boggs managed to win an impressive five batting titles. He would have managed to capture six batting totals, but he was 121 plate appearances short of the required number during his rookie season. Not only did he win five batting titles, but he was also elected to the All Star game to every All Star game from 1985 to 1996.

I had a couple wade boggs rookie cards from Topps and I remember my uncle telling me to save them because they'd be worth a lot.

I still remember the card, and the pose he had on it.

Speaking of cards, I picked up a pack of baseball cards at the Rite-Aid today! A big pack of 100. My first baseball cards in about 15 years! clap.gif
