I'm listening on my laptop which has crappy speakers.  Ordinarily the sounds is pretty flat.

That lost song though had some weird rubbing type sound coming out of the right speaker.  I don't know if it was intentional or just wear and tear on the master.

But I SWORE the sound was something rustling around in the other room!  I finally had to turn the sound off to check.  It almost sounded like my ceiling fan was rubbing or something.

Weird.

hmm.hmm.gif was it miles davis? do you recall? it seemed broadcast wise here everything was ok....

I don't recall, it was the last song before you said goodnight though.

It wasn't annoyingly bad, it just sounded very much like an old record on a turntable, perhaps with an area on it that was bad so everytime it came back around to the needle it made a rustling sound.

But it wasn't so bad that people would get annoyed and turn it off or anything like that.

If anything I was just shocked at how it seemed to throw the sound across the room.

hmm...welll it coulda very well been an old recording captured on cd. I have something here called "old jazz radio series" where indeed its like recordings of something off of an old jazz show from the 1940s. that mighta been it. really old an tinny...
