Best Superbowl Ad?

I am sure there are all sorts of polls out there on the internet to vote/ voice your opinion on what you think the best superbowl ad was, but I am curious to know what the Freeze Frame family here felt.

For me, I was totally spanked by the Thank You ad for the soldiers returning home. I actually had to excuse myself and go wipe a few tears in the bathroom. I have yet to figure out why- be it admiration for the idea of that actually happening in an airport, hope that all the remaining kids get home safe (against the odds of that happening), or thoughts of how that wasn't the case for many of the vietnam vets, or how good something like that must feel for soldiers returning home from hell. Not too much moves me on tv. That ad did.

JD, you do know that this DID happen at an airport right? BWI, right here near me:

I liked the biker gang commercial, where they all decided the restaurant down the road had a better salad bar because of the scary looking line of SUVs in the parking lot at the restaurant they were going to stop at.

But the only commercial I recall the product for is the one with the monkeys.

I was very disappointed with the ads this year.  There wasn't any that really made me laugh.  I did like the new Ford Mustang convertible one as far as products go.  The troops coming home in the airport and everyone standing up (showing respect) and clapping gave me the same reaction as JD.  What was the deal with the repeats of the ads?  Couldn't they find enough sponsors to have all new ones?  I was disappointed.

I just remembered the monkeys ad.  That one was funny and I can almost relate with being here at work.

I heard about the military commercial, but I didn't see it.  Laundry was calling.  Glad I didn't, though.  The opening ceremony had me in hiccupping tears.  I am extremely emotional about military stuff.  The base they showed in Europe is where my sis works.  She wasn't there, but I strained hard to see.  Made me miss my sis and brother-in-law and especially my grampy, who was a WWII vet from Anzio Beach.  He thought I was the best thing since sliced bread and I thought it about him.  He was the best.

my favorite commercial had to be the "top 10 things you need to have a good superbowl commercial" commercial. I think it was a Fed Ex. Just seeing Burt Reynolds getting kicked in the groin by a dancing bear was hillarious....I missed the wardrobe malfunction commercial...got weepy for the military commercial

For anyone who missed the Super Bowl ads a co-worker gave me this web site www.alldumb.com. Its the 5th one down on Mondays page. It also has the banned Bud Light ad.

Zim, that WAS an awesome link.  I'm so glad to see people supporting our troops.  That story made me weepy.    I'm home sick today because my whole house is sick.  The bad thing is, so is my husband.  I would rather have to play nurse to all of the fourth grade than my husband.  Whine, whine, whine.  It's a good thing I love that man or he'd have a thermometer shoved up his......uh....ear....yeah....ear!
