Are You Ready For Some Monday Night Style Football?

This will be an interesting test for the Pack...

The Vikings figure to have a top 10 defense this year, maybe even top 5.

Adrian Petersen is a special talent.  I think the Packers need to stay in their gaps, maybe load 8 men in the "box" and force Tavares Jackson to beat them.

Its at Lambeau, it should be close.  The QB Rogers needs to stay healthy and avoid the rush.  We will find out alot about the Packers and this division after tonight.

I think it will be a 3 team race...THe Bears have a tought defense and an improving offense.

The Packers and Vikings should be in the mix also...the Lions as long as Matt Millen is their GM will always be a "year away".

I'm nervous about tonight. I'm a football wimp. I prefer when we play teams we're clearly better than and we romp all over them.

Games like tonights take years off my life. hmm.gif

Web, the Corn Pickers are a fine team worthy of your devotion. But Saturday is college football, and Sunday and Monday is the Pro's turn to shine.  So, be nice and share.

Mema, welcome to week one on the Packer Bandwagon!  Glad to have you on board. smile

JR, what makes sports great is it is the best UNSCRIPTED drama we will ever see.  So enjoy the drama my friend.

Hey, I'm not anti pro football. It helps pass the time while waiting for the next Husker game.

You know, its like baseball . . . its better than nothing . . . well ok, baseball is a bad example, but you know what I mean.

My Dad watched all sports on tv- even bowling. I still only like hockey for the most part. But I do scream at the tv like him smile

I'm with Web; I'd much rather watch college football than the pros.  And Web's Huskers are my favorite team, followed by MSU.  smile

I'm biased, I have to deal with the large crowds in our little college town whenever there's a game. That keeps me from getting into college football.

Lincoln is crazy on game days too, Mz. When we lived there, we always made sure we didn't have to go out on home game days. Or, if we did, we'd go out during the game and be sure to be home before it was over.

You gotta understand that football is different than baseball. See, football fans LOVE the game and are EXCITED to go. It makes them a little crazy. JR told me that baseball games are good for business meetings because its so quite and they can be alone.

Totally different atmospheres.

College football is WAY too hot a topic around here. The local watering hole we hang out at is definitely in the KU corner... the owner's brother plays KU basketball. At the office, we have a hard core K-State, KU, Nebraska, and Ohio State contengencies. They like to argue outside my cube and try to involve me. I'm sooooooo Switzerland.

I never said that no.gif

What I SAID was that baseball had a more conversational pace.  That you can enjoy visiting with someone while you both watch the game.

You'd make a good politician Webster.  You're masterful at bending the words! evileye.gif

Yes, but what JR is saying is that you can talk about how paint drys as you watch it, which then makes it exciting.
