I hope not, else I'm seriously disappointed.  So, the earth's still here, for a while.  I've gotta say, I'm a little let down.

suppose we all die and find ourselves collectively in an afterlife. Do you think things would eventually be set up and managed pretty much the way they are now?confused.gif

If this is the afterlife- then it sucks! Whatta crappy morning I'm having! No one can access the shared drive on our network and all I do is attached to that. This is the last day I can process payroll for checks to arrive on time! I'm so aggravated! furious

There was a funny short film years ago on the old Saturday Night Live. They were interviewing people who had supposedly died, saw the light in the tunnel, and made it to the end of the tunnel even. They all were revived back to life tho. All these people said they saw and heard the same thing when reaching the end of the tunnel- "take a number".smile.gif

Hmmm, this feels a lot like routine to me.

Although, we do have a late start (10:00am) for school today. Maybe the afterlife is a late start every day.?.?

I'm seriously hoping this is NOT the afterlife. I would hate to think I still have to show up for work for the rest of eternity. If it is the afterlife, which is entirely possible... it is definitely hell I've arrived at. How can I tell, you may ask? I'm in a cubicle with abundant flourescent lighting, a white noise generator, and several jerks for neighbors. Oh yeah... my e-mail also works.

Here's Mema's theory on the afterlife: I believe there is one. I believe that souls do get recycled into a new life, where likely they tend to re-encounter other recycled souls from previous lives, whereupon on some level we sometimes tend to sort of recognize each other. This, to me anyway, explains how one can fall in love with someone on first sight and conversely can instantaniously hate someone else. Also explains deja vu.

Okay... that's enough philosophy for one Wednesday morning!

Oh yeah, if it's the afterlife, it's definately hell.  Phones wouldn't exist in heaven.

My philosophy is similar.  Which brings us back to JD's point.  If we all died at the same time, how would we know?

Morning all. I just had a heckuva time getting to sleep last night. No clue why. Oh well... today is here and it's the last day this week I actually have to make an appearance at the office. I'm working from home tomorrow and we are having an offsite team builder on Friday. So far, the day is going well... all my meetings for this morning got cancelled.

I passed on it the first time around because with only three posts in it I figured there MUST be another daily thread, but i guess not.

Hmm.  Cool and rainy here today clap.gif  Gotta like that.

I've got a ton of trash to take out and some food shopping to do. 

Yesterday for some reason I was dog tired all day.  I went to bed ridiculously early for me (10:30 PM and stayed in bed until nearly 9:00 AM!!!)  But, I have to admit I got up a couple times throughout the night, so I still think I only got 8 hours of actual sleep.

I've been feeling sleepy and anti-social the last two days.  Must be the gloomy weather.  This is the first time in awhile that we've had two straight days of cloud cover.  I've gotten used to the constant sunshine.  smile.gif

I read the forum bottom up.

The daily thread was always at the top because people were posting in it.

When I finally got toward the top I saw the tag and realized I posted in the wrong one. The tags a good idea though.
