Either that or my hand got bigger.  hmm.gif

Remember we talked awhile ago about how instead of raising prices the "in" thing to do now was keep the price point and shrink the product?

Looks like the Rice Krispie treat took the hit.

I've also noticed it's impossible to find a 20 oz bottle of Coke around here.  They're all 16.9oz now.  hmm.gif

Eventually everything on the supermarket shelf will be itty bitty, like the fake stuff you'd buy for a dollhouse.

Your hand didn't get bigger.  They did start making them smaller.  I noticed that sometime this summer when I bought a box to take up to the cabin with us. 


I did get a 20 oz. bottle of Coke the other day though.  The party store near me still stocks those.  However the grocery stores near me don't.  hmm

Maybe when the economy gets better they'll return to full size with a big announcement on the front of the box "NOW 30% BIGGER!"

In the meantime I guess I'm having TWO Rice Krispie treats at snack time. That'll show em'!!!

You know everything has gotten smaller. Take a look a container of ice cream lately? Remember when it used to be a half gallon? Then it went to 1.75 quarts. Now it is 1.5 quarts. And no, the price hasn't changed.

The price of icecream has gone way up. You used to be able to get Edy's and Blue Bunny for around $3 per half gallon. Now it's almost $4 for the smaller size.

And laundry detergent.  Bottles are much smaller, and in big, bold print it says "new concentrated formula so you'll use less."  Dang right I'll be using less, cuz you put a lot less in the bottle!!!
