Ben Sheets of glass left after the second inning with forearm pain he said he felt when swinging the bat in the top of the inning.
I swear that guy thinks any tinge of discomfort is reason to shut it down. Stuff other players play through he runs to the training room to get ice for.
I think this teams make-up will take a huge step forward next year when he's gone.
It's a two team wild card race now. 10 to play and it's between us and whoever's in second place in the east.
Now they say Sheets may be out for the season and post season with an elbow injury that the team has been hiding from the public. He's been getting shots since August 26'th.
ESPN reports in the last two years, Sheets has battled a groin problem, a torn finger tendon, shoulder tendinitis, a tight triceps and a sore chest muscle.
They forget two times he missed significant time because of finger blisters, two times he missed six weeks each because of dizziness and the time he pulled some muscle in his ass (I'm not joking).
We can't get rid of this guy fast enough. If anyone gives him more than a one year deal they're fools.
I was all excited there for a minute... thought this thread was notifying me that I have awaken from my coma and that the long, flat, seemingly endless Bataan Death March to the White House is over!

There ya go. Don't mind me, I'll be looking for the sorry bastages who put those other bastages up to bombing out embassy in Yemen, Osama bin Laden, and the freaks who are running all of these crashing banks and insurance compaines.

Absolutely! Can you imagine it now? Ill humored Secret Service Agent walks into your office and says, "Mr. Vice President, sir? President Mema wishes to let you know she is planning on wiping out Yemen, flattening the northern Pakistan mountains, and putting OJ Simpson in Gitmo. The plane is leaving in 5 minutes. President Mema said to tell you: Grab your guitar and shake a leg... we are going to need a theme song for this day!"

Okay. The top three teams that I am keeping an eye on won last night. So, things hold true. It was good to see Houston lose again though. They were on a tear since the All Star break before last weekend. Just as long as my Phillies keep winning.
