I noticed a couple things this week after seeing weight loss ads for three different services.
First, Valerie Bertinelli from Jenny Craig is STILL GORGEOUS. Actually, I think she's prettier today than she was 30 years ago!
Second, all the ads tell you about these people who lost 26, 34, 48 lbs or more. Show you them before, and show you them after, but while doing that in teeny tiny print at the bottom say "RESULTS ARE NOT TYPICAL"
WTH. If it isn't typical then why are you showing me it? Show me what I can expect with your product!
What next? Maybe they should package cereal called Chocolate Flavored Cow Dung, show a family munching it up and saying "mmmm" with a disclaimer "delightful reaction and lack of projectile vomiting not typical".
Oh well. At least I got to look at Valerie! WOWSERS!
Yeah, I've always wondered that too. If the results you're showing us are not the type of results I can expect from your product, then it makes me wonder why I'd even bother to use your product.
I bet the weight loss PR people would tell you that you have to do a bunch of exercising too to achieve the same results. If you just ate the food, you'd probably lose about 1 pound per week. Maybe.
Speaking of advertising ads, has anyone heard the Burger King commercial on the radio about "That time of the month" ? Sure it's not actualy about that but still I don't want to be thinking about it while I'm eating my BK bigfish!!
