Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my dad's passing. I miss him. Alot.
So I thought a nice way to honor his memory is to share this thought.
We are all here for an undetermined amount of time and an unknown purpose. We touch each others lives in ways we probably never know in many cases. So tomorrow, show kindness to a stranger who might need a hand. Let an inconvenience or perceived slight go without anger.
Just as important...let the people close to you know you love them and what they mean to you. Moms and dads...hug your kids. Kids, hug your mom's and dads. Let friends know they mean something to you.
When its all said and done, its the people in our lives that matter more than anything. If there is someone you too have lost, take the time to remember a good time you shared with them. Say a prayer if you are so inclined.
I know Web and Dylan want one, but they are just being boys. Well, to be fair Dylan hasn't been in yet this morning. Sparky only wanted one if I was all clean and pretty for him.

I told both of my kids that hugs between the opposite sex were nothing but a chance for a breast press. Suzieb cringed. The boy agreed. He told me that he's addicted to the breast press.

Yeah, I figured that out a long time ago. I knew there was some reason I was so huggable.

That is exactly why my guy friends try to hug me. Most of them when they have been drinking. Others will try it at any given moment.

D, you are so right. I don't know of many people that 'get me' the way that you do. For that I tell you I am so very sorry for your loss. However, what a wonderful tribute, not only in your written word, but for emulating your father. There is no greater tribute. Hugs and thoughts with you today.
