today is the first day that we were issued our semi-monthy checks, up from weekly. they totally screwed up everyone's taxes. we got charged 1.5 to 2x the amount of federal and state taxes. they say it will be all fixed no later than tuesday. angered.gif

oh it's been many years since we've been weekly. That was a sad day when we converted to bi-weekly

I hate it. even with the error it seems like I have a lot of money, and thats deceptive. bills are coming up, its harder to plan that far ahead and take care of this weeks.... no.gif

You know you will be okay. Just takes soem time to get used to. I think the last time I got a weekly check was when I was in college working a summer job. And that was only the first couple of years when I was working retail. Once I moved into an office setting, out the door that went. I didn't really know any better, being in college I had no money anyway.

Miraculously, both Brian and I are working for small businesses, and we both now get weekly paychecks. (Heck, Brian's check is handwritten!) We are so spoiled!

You'll get used to it JD.  As long as you remember to double whatever you usually set aside for bills, you'll be ok.

I'm actually surprised your company is just now getting around to paying every 2 weeks.  I haven't seen a weekly paycheck in over 25 years.  I don't think I'd know how to act if I got one every week.  hmm

I was paid every other week for years before I came here. I got used to it then, but I just remember like that last wed and thurs before payday usually sucking real bad. mac and cheese for dinner and a 4 pack of cheap malt liquor for the evening. if I was lucky....no.gif

life is better now. I can do the booms farm. maybe some frozen veggies in the ramen if I have 1/4 of an old bag left in the back of the freezer.smile

Luckily, I live at home.
Most of my cars are paid for. Actually, all of them are. It is the mortgage thing. Money is money. The gov will mess with you no matter.weirdface
