Apparently they found the wreckage of his plane. A hiker located some of his personal possessions including his FAA ID card and turned them over to the authorities. They located the actual wreckage and confirmed the ID number on the plane. They haven't actually found his remains yet.

I guess we can officially say "rest in peace".

I always wondered if he really died, or if something bad would come out about him later on. Glad his wife can rest now.

Yeah... they are thinking it is pretty certain he is dead. His plane was definitley wrecked.
