Does anyone collect them? I just got an Alaska state quarter- one left for us- Hawaii. I might have to fly there to get that one!

I collect them. My husband has his own set too. We have a book for D's and then for P's. D's are hard for us to get. We don't even have Michigan in D. no.gif

lol, when I need my fix I look at my quarters carefully. I will use the old quarters first and then I will use the new ones if I'm pretty sure I have them already. And if they are all I have then they get deposited anyway! I think "oh hubby will end up with 2 of these quarters and I will be fine." That's probably how I didn't get Michigan- D laughing.gif

My husband and both of my girls have all 50 states in the quarters.  We got Hawaii's because my sister-in-law lives there and sent them to us.  I don't collect 'em.....any quarters I have usually end up with my daughter's lunch money so she can buy a drink out of the vending machines at school.

Hey, Woo . . . We're just the oposite . . . we get lots of D's but not many P's.

If you want, make me a list of what D's you need and we'll see what we have here.

With my wife working in a bank, she can usually find about anything we've needed except that they are usualy D's.

I just asked my wife. We have 7 Arizona's but we need 7 of them.

Her mom was making a book for each of her kids and grandkids. My wife is finishing out the books for everyone since they were so close to being done when she died.

She gets them from the bank but just gets what she needs. She said it shouldn't be hard at all to find another one at the bank and I can send it to ya. smile.gif

Mema . . . my wife just called me from the bank. She has 4 uncirculated Arizona "D" quarters in her possession. PM me where you would like it sent and if you want more than one and I'll get it in the mail to ya. smile.gif

I would think that you Midwesterns won't see too many 'P' coins. Since the Philadelphia mint prints them and you guys may be closer to the Denver mint. I don't pay attention, but if someone is looking for any 'P' quarters, let me know. I certainly can help in the effort.

The funny thing about it, Fuzzy, is even when I was in DC a couple months ago I still got only the D quarters in change. I looked because I thought for sure I would get a P being there.no.gif

I asked my husband about his set and the girls' sets.......he said they're short 3....the HI, Alaska, and Arizona ones.  He said my sis-in-law said she would said the HI quarters when they come out.  Right now he has the quarters from the years the 2 girls were born and the year we got married in the slots for the 3 missing state quarters.  That explains why I thought they had 'em all.  hmm Anyway, when the HI ones are released, I'll ask my sis-in-law to send some extras if anyone wants/needs them.  I might have access to the Alaska ones too.  My daughter's best friend recently got married and she and her husband live there now, so maybe when those get released I can snag some for you guys.  smile

Right here beside me are two quarters, Alaska and Arizona.

Interesting though that you would desire these two particular quarters . . . Sarah Palin is from Alaska . . . John McCain is from Arizona.
