It's Friday! Who's Working, Who's Playing?

Good day all.

Today should be a good day for me at work. I don't have a whole lot on my plate, we have a rep from the box company stopping by this morning, and then this afternoon I'm making sales calls. Normally I hate sales calls, I prefer to just sit in my office and design. But I'm just parking on campus and walking to several of the departments we deal with on a regular basis to drop off a bag of catalogs and freebies. I don't really have to push for a sale, just smile and be on my way, and it means I get to walk around in the lovely weather this afternoon.

I am just hoping for a better day than yesterday. Even the Wings lost their season opener. I am so glad that I chose to watch my shows after the 1st period and only checked in during commercials. I was also able to let some of my emotions come to surface watching CSI. Oh and although it was not my intention to watch the new show Eleventh Hour- I did catch that Riley from Buffy was on it. So I kept it on because I really didn't feel like watching anything we had on DVR at the time.

Tonight we pack and go up north to help out with some chores. Then Sunday we come back and go bowling.

Oh and my throat hurts. Not sure if that was from crying yesterday or if I'm coming down with something.

is today REALLY friday? it doesn't feel like it for me. all work and no play this week -- bleh!

this weekend i plan to visit maranda and help her ($$) get ready for her senior show which is in december, but she has to have everything ready by the first week of november -- YIKES! only a few weeks away!

Here...l gotta work, but will be here to play too. I have 8 hours til I have to be at Chuck E Cheese. Who has birthday parties at CEC at 6 on a Friday? They serve beer, but I do not drink beer, but believe it or not there is a liquor store RIGHT next door. They may get a visit from me!

Liquor store next to ChuckECheeses, hmm? Probably quite popular.... especially the folks coming out of ChuckECheese.

I'm here, I have to do double duty today, work at the PD till 4, golf club at 5. And I am sure the members will want to hang around to watch the Red Sox game...ugh! Not quite the type of people I want to watch the game with.

At work. The weather is beautiful. Slept with the windows open as the low was around 50 overnight. It was nice and chilly this morning. Can't wait to be finished with the work week. Since I have worked late all week, my butt is out of here by 4:30. I will make sure if it today.

Only gets to be WFH Friday if I work Thursday night. I was supposed to, but the project didn't get scheduled because of some residual issues with our partner company. It's okay. Giving me time to get ready for the next big push.

I'm in a pretty good mood so far today. Got some sleep last night and it's a beautiful day here. Hardly anyone around me in the office. Little Man is working from home. Not sure where my other neighbor is. The hateful chick who sits next to Little Man is keeping to herself since the only people around are me and Brehznev and she dislikes both of us.

Hoping to get out at lunch time maybe... if Pambo is still up for going to Imo's. We'll see.

How in the world did Tastykakes end up in SD? They don't ship them much outside of the Philadelphia area. Hmmm. Maybe they ended up on the wrong Walmart truck.

Imo's is a pizza buffet. There is a salad bar (kind of lame) and a pizza bar. You just never know what kind of pizza they are going to throw out there. You can request what you want. Today they went heavy on the Hawaiian, pepperoni & sausage, and cheese. Next time I'm requesting bacon & jalapeno.... sounds weird, but it ROCKS!!
