I am bit cranky. My Eagles won, my Philies lost. I am trying to fight wht may be the beginning of a nasy cold. Many of the people I sit around are ill or were ill the week before. I don't want it, so I am doing my best. For now I have just had a sore throat for a couple of days, but I feel like I am dragging a bit. We shall see how it goes.

It'll be fine. I just know how dealy a couple of people looked Friday. One seems much better today and the other seems to be struggling a bit. I have been over to see how they are. We all sit together at lunch too, so I am naturally fearing the worst. Hopefully, it will turn out not really to be anything.

I should go. I have been trying to figure out whether firearms are taxable in FL and NC. I tried a few sources and they didn't work out so well. Must go dig deep into another source.

In Kansas it is legal assuming one has a permit to do so. This of course prompted them to put up "no handgun" signs at the camups. (picture of a pistol with the big red circle with a line through it) The running joke was that someday you would see someone approach a building, look all dejected, then go get their shotgun. laughing.gif

No, not moving. With a permit I can carry here anyway.

It is actually work related. We purchased a number of new glocks. Naturally neither of the invoices had sales tax on it. I need to know if the they are considered taxable items because then I would owe use tax.

Nothing really exciting.

I'm more comfortable with my 20 gauge shotgun or 410 pump.  True, I can't carry them as a concealed weapon, but for home protection I'm pretty sure either will do the job.  nod.gif  Nice guns for target practice shooting too.

Yes Ghost, I think those may be a little hard to conceal.

I don't have one myself. I usually play with my sister's. Always interesting when the three of us go to the shooting range together. A family that shoots together...

Well, technically I could carry 'em concealed if I wore my long black leather trench, but it wouldn't be legal to do so. 

I know since MI passed the right to carry with a permit, we've had a lot less car jackings taking place....at least here in Saginaw anyway.  I'm still not comfortable with a hand gun though.  My husband has one or two, but they scare me so I leave 'em alone.

My father had a federal firearms license. Every now and again, I'd get some interesting presents. If I can ever get my brother to hand it over... he even had an old revolver refurbished for me. It has a set of ivory grips that were custom carved by Paul Persinger and for some odd reason he had my name engraved in the barrel in gold.

Amazing how the fear of getting shot might make someone think twice on car jacking someone. laughing.gif
