Well, I've been in mourning all week, watching my Red Sox play terribly. I haven't been on here much, however last night they came back to win the game after being down by 7 runs.
I am tired, and I am here. Game 6 tomorrow night!
BOSTON (AP)Down seven runs and running out of time, the Boston Red Sox werent quite ready to go away.
The defending World Series champions pulled off the biggest postseason comeback since 1929, beating the Rays 8-7 Thursday night on J.D. Drews two-out single in the ninth to stave off elimination in the best-of-seven AL championship series.
Fresh off the latest October rally by the comeback kings, Boston headed to Tampa Bay trailing three games to two.
The first six innings we did nothing. They had their way with us every way possible, Red Sox manager Terry Francona said. And then this place came unglued, and weve seen that before. But because of the situation were in, it justthat was pretty magical.
Boston trailed 7-0 with two outs in the seventh, then rallied when David Ortizs three-run homer followed Dustin Pedroias RBI single against Grant Balfour. Drew hit a two-run homer in the eighth, and Coco Crisp tied it with a two-out RBI single off Dan Wheeler.
It was pretty much the most amazing thing Ive ever been a part of, Crisp said, to be down 7-0 in an elimination game and be able to come back.
TGIF!!!! I am so tired. We bought a wireless router but I can't get the darn thing up and running. Everytime it tries to check my network card the whole laptop freezes up

I was dropping the boy off at school. It is parallel parking there by the school in the loading zone. A lady was stopped and her daughter was getting out of the car. I was pulling around to park in front of her to let my son out and she took off and hit the back rear corner of my van as I was coming around her.
I pulled on up and parked, and my son got out and went on insied. The lady pulled out and around me and I thought she was just going to go on around me to get out of the street and park again. She kind of pulled up beside me, looked up at me, and then took off fast.
I got out and looked at the damage and its really not bad. Its just a good scrape starting from right behind the rear wheel back and across that rear panel and the bumper. On this 14 year old van with 145k miles, its probably not worth the deductible to get it fixed.
As I was looking at it, another mom pulled up beside me and said "I saw her hit you. I know the girl's first name, but can't think of her last name" . . . and she gave me the name.
Since I probably won't fix it, I was thinking I'd just go too since I won't do anything about it, but then it hit me . . . . What if she calls the police later and says I'm the one that hit her and left? So, I called the police and they came and took the report. I gave them the girl's first name (a Korean girl and the only one in the school that I know of), and the witness' name.
I really didn't want to get the lady in trouble, but figured I better cover my own butt.
Congrats Darlene, on the big come back. I'd still rather see Tampa Bay get their first shot at a ring, but last nights game was a fun one to watch and the comeback was very exciting.
We all know the Sox are the comeback kids, maybe they'll do it again this year!
Web. DEFINATELY the right thing to do calling the cops. Even if you weren't worried she'd claim you were the one who ran, if she's willing to hit and run she needs to be held accountable, regardless of the amount of damage.
Next time she might really damage someones car, or worse yet hurt someone. Maybe a visit from the cops will give her something to think about next time she's in that situation.
I just talked to my wife . . . it turns out I do know the lady. When the witness said it was "the little Korean girl" I thought I probably know who it was. There is a Korean lady that waitresses in one of the cafe's here. I thought it might be her and when I told my wife the girl's first name, she knew for sure that is who it was.
I almost feel guilt for getting her in trouble over something so small, but yet I know reporting it was the right thing to do.
Web, remember YOU didn't do anything wrong. If she had stopped and talked to you then maybe you could have decided to let it go. But she decided to run and there are consequences for that.

Web - you did the right thing. It is all about CYA. And if she gives you a hard time about it, that is what you can tell her.
I can't believe the Red Sox came back and won the game last night. I watched some of the game. The Rays were up 5-0 in the 6th when I turned it off. I just figured they were going to win. I didn't know the Sox won until someone said something this morning. Talk about a momentum swing. Game 6 on Saturday night ought to be interesting.

I know the "other mom" I mentioned earlier . . . she goes to our church. I was just thinking and decided that I should probably let her know that I did give the police her name as a witness and she was fine with that.
As we talked more, she said that she does know the other driver didn't have a driver's license as of about two years ago because she used to always ask for rides to "MOPS" (Mothers of Preschoolers) meetings.
She may very well have a license now, but that also may be why she took off.
Happy Friday all! Tonight is Homecoming at my daughter's high school; parade starts at 4:30, football game at 7:00, and the dance is tomorrow night but she isn't going. She hates school dances, so she, her boyfriend, and some other kids are going to some spooky Halloween houses and corn mazes instead. I'm not sure if I'm going to the football game or not; since I work for the school district, I'm issued a free pass for all home sporting events; I might slip in just before half-time, watch the band perform, then slip back out.
Web, glad there wasn't more serious damage done to your vehicle. School parking lots around here are notorious for hit and runs...at least once a week one occurs at the building I work at. You did the right thing by reporting it.
