Michael Jackson - Do you care?

I was reading online today that the jury trial of Michael Jacksons molestation case is moving forward.

It looks like he's actually going to go through a criminal trial this time.

They say they have over 300 witnesses on his behalf, most of them celebrities.

For the past few years my attitude has been "what a freak" when thinking about Jackson, but I must say the last few months I've shifted into a more sympathetic "What a sick, sick man" and "what a shame" attitude.

My question for the forum is this.  Does anyone even CARE anymore what comes of this?

I mean, I'm somewhat surprised by the lack of interest in the case by anyone I know.  This is potentially a MAJOR case.  Can you actually imagine Michael Jackson in prison?

What are your thoughts?

I think everyone is so used to his antics that nothing suprises anyone anymore.

If only the chimp could talk I wonder what he would say?

Do you suppose they will make him try on a glove during the trial? Will it be sparkly?

I've heard some of the charges against him via tv and whatnot, and it's absolutely disturbing to think that these things he is accused of are true.

I don't care, but I'll probably pay a little bit of attention to the case, just to see if the judicial system is going to work the way it should or to let me down again.

I wish people would just leave him alone.  I believe that he is eccentric but not guilty.  My personal belief is that the reason he surrounds himself with children, is because most are unassuming, unexpecting, undemanding.  They don't require anything of him except acceptance.  Adults and older people abuse him monetarily, emotionally.  His mistake is his generousity and his own need for pure acceptance for who he is and not what he is perceived to be.  That acceptance comes more willingly from a child than an adult, as adults have ulterior motives.

I think I'm of the don't know, don't care.... if it's a case of money hungry parents I hope he wins. If it's a case of a serious sexual predatory behavior I hope he loses. Hopefully some semblance of justice will prevail over the circus.

I think Michael Jackson is weird by my standards.  I do believe that because of his high profile life that he is a good target for crooks and losers.  As a parent, especially now, I wouldn't let my kids spend anytime with him, alone.  In fact, I wouldn't let my kids spend any time alone with any 40 year old man, or woman for that matter, that wasn't family.  I would not allow my kids to be in that situation.

I hope that if the evidence is there that he gets what he deserves.  If not, let him live his freakish life the way that he wants.

I agree with all of you. I do not truly care though. I was a huge fan in the 80s. I idolized him! But he has definitely turned into a freak. He does not seem very talented anymore. He makes a lot of mistakes. I agree also that he surrounds himself with children because they are innocent and will not use him. I think this is going to be one long media circus parade. I also think like OJ whether or not he is guilty will ever actually be answered.

Easy JD, It will all be over in a year or two.

Did you hear why they wanted to get Michael Jackson up on the witness stand?

They said it was the only hope he had for his nose to grow back.

  Good one!

I don't know if he really did do that stuff or not.  I'm skeptical because there are so many parents who would convince their kids to lie just to get money.  But, I don't think he'll be convicted.  There's no way of telling if what these kids are saying is true.  It's possible that they don't know whether or not it's true if their parents have been feeding it to them.  There's no hard evidence, so I think this will be a lot of time spent on a trial that won't get anywhere.

Oh man, that's HORRIBLE,

But funny.

I wonder who first came up with that one, it's perfect.

Did you ever wonder about that?  Who comes up with these jokes first?  I remember when Natalie Wood died when I was a kid, it seemed like hundreds of jokes started coming out and I always thought to myself there was some comedy writer in Hollywood devoted just to starting jokes for the country to spread.

Do you know what Michael Jackson and the Gap have in common?

They both have kids clothes half off!
