Well, I guess I am a bit backwards today. I don't vote until after work. No line then. But since I don't drink coffee and I don't really like krispy kreme donuts, I guess I am okay.
Vote on!

Here and voted. Could not profit from any of the above because I would then been late for work. A lot of people showing up to vote but the lines seemed to be going at a decent pace.
Today I need to try and get payroll done. I don't think i'm waiting on anything.

mz, you were in my dream last night. you were a my supervisor and we were making some kind of pamphlet for lucille ball , but i kept screwing up because i was putting in the word "leasing" all this time in my dream, you were a little girl -- say 10ish. we were pushing a deadline and you were getting really stressed (sorry)... i told you that we needed to slow down and that we couldn't make the deadline if you were having a bad hair day. so, i sat you down in front of a piano and brushed your hair and braided it while you played piano
i mailed my ballot last week!
smiles everyone! smiles!

Good morning! I voted on Saturday so I too am done.
#4 Go to Chick-fil-a for a free sandwich
So I'm told... I don't drink coffee either and could live without the Krispy Kreme donut. I like them, they love me. Might as well apply it directly to my backside.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
Good morning all. I'm home from work today as all of our schools are closed due to the elections. I was at the polls by 7:00 and just now got home......big, big turn out here already which is good! We have 3 controversial proposals to vote on......first one is whether or not to allow medical marijuana use; second one is whether or not to allow stem cell research, third one is county-wide only for an increase in property taxes to help fund health insurance for the poor. Anyway, I did my civic duty so now I have the rest of the day off work to enjoy. Hope you guys have a good one!
Wow, thats quite an incentive to vote! Or I could just beat up someone who voted and take their sticker
Morning all. My Mom works at city hall and she's been swamped for two weeks. Normally she works four hour days but because of early voting she's been working 14 hours a day for over a week and today she could wind up working even more! Poor woman.
But she wanted me to pick up a cheese & sausage tray and bring it over to city hall, since they won't get a lunch break everyone is bringing something to munch on. I gotta go git that soon.
I'm looking forward to the election being over, but not as much as my Mom is.
If I had to vote on that one, I'd probably pass it. Legalize it, license them, require health check-ups every so often. Prostitution has been with us forever; might as well make it legal in my humble opinion.
Oh my, I could give you a loooooooooooong list of reasons, but I'll have to PM it to you because I REALLY don't want to open a whole can of worms that sparks a day long multi-faced debate on the forum.
I'll say this here though, my concerns have less to do with the two people engaged in the act than it has to do with the dozens of side issues I believe legalized prostitution creates.
I've never been a fan of the argument "they're gonna do it anyway, so let's just make it legal". I've known a few people who have had their lives seriously damaged by parents who took that attitude with their kids and had it backfire on them.
It could be another tax base. I wonder what rate this personal service would be taxed. Or would they have to write it into the tax code as a taxable service? And how exactly does one audit that? Some cash businesses can be difficult to audit. Especially here with no inventory to back into the sales numbers.
