Thursday

Good day all.

I had a bad day at work yesterday and I was already grumpy.  Now I just can't seem to get over it.  I think we all need a bit of cheery music today.

Its 34 degrees, 20mph gust winds, and its snowing.

The streets are still melting off, but the grass is all white now.

Gotta get a kid to school.

Good morning, all. After a long night of thunderstorms, I'm happy it is WFH Thursday. smile.gif Presently it is 47 degrees, partly cloudy and another very windy day. The high today is supposed to be 55... tomorrow and through the weekend the highs are supposed to be in the 40's. I guess the warm weather reprieve we have been getting here is over.

NO SNOW! NO SNOW! NO SNOW!

Morning all. Still rainy around here. It has been raining off and on since Tuesday afternoon. Fun. It is warm though, it was 62. The warm air is due to push out and give us more normal temps in the low 50s starting tomorrow.

Have to go see if billing has closed October. If they have, I then can do my month end work. More fun.

Hello everyone. The weather has officially gone back to normal... cold, dreary, windy, chilly, about 40 degrees, and I wish I could have stayed in bed. But I better get used to it. I have 6 more months of it!!

I started tanning 2 days ago, I had heard it helps w/ the winter blahs, that people like me get, when the days get shorter, and it's dark all the time. I actually have a sun burn on my back and under my arms, the booth I go in has hooks on the roof so you grab ahold of them like you're riding a bus, while it's blaring ultraviolet rays. That's a part of my body that hasn't seen the sun in years....ouch!! However, I'm feeling better, I don't have the winter blues yet.

Looks like a few slack days --- BOSSES have gone fishing in Mexico. Actually, Im caught up on billing, so my goal is to file all of this paper Ive let pile up. Maybe Ill get a Scooby Snack when they get back

Snow Web already!

It's gonna be 78 today! I got flip flops on still!

I am busy, we have a new employee and my boss if off.

DS did not call me last nightevileye

And finally I am MAD at one of my son's teachers. He has been having problems with her, she is his nutrition teacher. She called me once at work to say that she had given him a zero on a test for talking in class after the test was given. I stayed out of it that time only left her a message that I got her message, but I encouraged my son to talk to her since he needs to take care of these things himself, but he did not. The punishment did not seem fair. Monday she asked him in front of the whole class if he had a rash on his face.furious He was almost in tears last night when he told me. It obviously bothered him still or he would not have told me. He told me everyone in the class got quiet and several told him he needed to report her. I DID! I am waiting on the VP to call me back. It is very obvious he has acne, he has all year and though it is getting better... UGH WHAT AN ASS!

Oh and Kaisha got laid off last night from her job.... that is upsetting since she was doing so well w/ the company. She worked for a Toyota Dealership, in their internet marketing dept.

She has her own apt too, so I am worried she will have to move back in w/ me.

oh hello nerd.gif
I just got donw shaving. I had about a 5 day growth on my face, it was just time to go. Actually I was kinda inspired by this book I was reading "Sin in the Second City". In Chicago in 1907 they held this wild and crazy First Ward Ball, which papers and ministers decried as an immoral gathering of all the "thugs, thiefs, prostitutes, pick-pockets, foriegners and bearded men" in the city. What the hell??? It made me want to shave, nonetheless.

aw dammit.cry.gif
If Toyota is laying off people, you can just imagine Chrystler throwing in the towel completely come Friday....no.gif

Today at 3 pm we get a state of the company address from our president. Things have been quiet and uncertain for a bit too long, we best hear what he has to say directly.

I'm sure it is not going to be a comfort to her, but it probably was not related to her performance. Toyota just slashed it's profit advisory by 50% and took a 10% stock price hit. They are just now feeling the economic pinch.

Unfortunately Kaisha has 6 others in her division and she is new to that team...low man on the totem pole so to speak....... The economy does suck, and no one can get a car loan like they used to. She said you have to have a credit score of over 700 before anyone will offer one to you..... compared to the 500 's months ago.

The teacher sounds like a B... Sometimes the teachers act worse than the kids... hmm.gif

Just got to work. I had my own drs appt today for my yearly. yippee

Well after a very frustrating night we left feeling better.

Here's the summary:
Mom was all upset because Dad had not moved himself at all.

His neck and arms are starting to swell and he does not look good

Crappy nurse who has never worked with him would not tell Mom anything. No reasons for the swelling- nothing

No talky means we think the worst.

While we were in the room they repositioned him and he started to move and even tried to open his eyes. later on he started grabbing at stuff so that made us feel better.

Nurse shift change gave us one we knew and filled us in. Dad has his nights and days mixed up so he is up all night and then sleeping when we are there which explains the non-movement.

Swelling is common for what he is going through and his body is already trying to flush away the extra fluid.

The reason they can't remove the breathing tube while he is not alert is because he is not controlling his tongue and he would block off his airway.

So again we are waiting for the neurologist to show up and give us a new plan.

Sorry to hear about that Darlene.

How is your new place? Is your old house still on the market or did you get rid of it?

mom just called and things are going good!

He woke up and he has been able to shake his head yes or no when asked questions. He squeezed her hand and knows it is her. When the respiratory nurse came, he followed directions to take a couple deep breaths! We are still waiting on the doctor to show up but this all sounds good! smile
