Lunch, weather and did you dress your pet for Halloween?

I ate a lean cuisine, it is 67 and sunny and NO! Ruby was freaked out by the door bells and the costumes. I had read how Halloween can be scary for dogs, especially puppies. We left her in the back yard and when I got home and let her in when the doorbell rang, she headed for the bedroom! Wanted to ask y'all sooner...but anyways...

I had a turkey club sandwich with a glass of milk for lunch.  It's 39 and raining.  No, I didn't dress my Lab in a costume; I've never put costumes on any of the pets I've had over the years.

Cute pic of little E and Ruby.  Your puppy is growing!  smile

A frozen thing, a granola bar and a cup of applesauce for lunch. It is sunny and 45 degrees. No pets.

Chicken sammich and a few Cheezetoes.

Sunny & 39.

No, our dog goes ballistic when the doorbell rings. She spent the trick-or-treat hours in her kennel in the basement.

Imo's Pizza (bacon jalapeno and Hawaiian lick.gif ), cloudy and in the low 50's, and ARE YOU INSANE? Eddie had to wear an Elizabethan collar for a while after he got neutered. When I put him in the cat carrier to take him home, he went tazmanian cat-devil. I like my skin left on my body, thanks.

Lunch was tuna on a baguette, a banana, and some Simply Limeade.

Weather is rainy and cold and yucky.

I put a bow on the cats the first year we had them, and it lasted maybe a minute before one cat was playing with it's bow, and the other was eating it.  I haven't tried anything since then.

I got about ten emails that said why pets hate halloween, they were filled with 'cute' costumes and some not so cute! But when you read how the pets really feel, I think it is stupid to put them through it. Emily was ready to be Dorothy and Toto, but I would not let her take Ruby with us. She was understanding.

Oh and it is 69 now :)

Some of the pictures of pets in costumes are really cute, but it takes a certain animal to put up with that sort of thing. I don't think I've ever had a pet that would tolerate it, but then again I have never tried it.

I will admit to being amused at Eddie's displeasure with the Elizabethan collar. I did get a picture of him laying on my kitchen floor with that "I hate you so bad" look on his little face.
