Radio Somewhere

In the deepest darkest reaches of your weekend, towards the tail end, is a live dj in a studio here at Freeze Frame Radio. He provides an alternative to tv to those who need an alternative to tv, although sunday night is THE BEST tv night. Nonetheless he is there for those who need some down time, need some tunes as they either wind up or wind down their evenings, for those who need some non-commercial songs as they bust out that book that they've been meaning to read or write, or just need to sit and be for a bit. Yes ineed, there is a dj here in the studio Sunday nights for that....

And that dj just dropped probably a 15 pound gas bomb.

luckily, the internet is not scratch and sniff. sniff.gifsmile.gif

I need some visine and O2. BRB.ashamed.gif

I've thought about that JD (not the gas bomb). Your line: "That book you've been meaning to read or write..."

I'm listening, and I've only got 17,000 more words to go...

laughing.gif  I have a vision in my head right now.......JD sitting in his boxers basking in the glow from his oil lights when suddenly there's a deep rumbling sound followed by the most horrible stench.  JD jumps up from his chair in a frantic search for his gas mask.  He locates without a problem.....it was lying on the floor in the corner right where he always leaves it.  He straps it on, continues spinning the tunes, glad no one else on the forum can smell that awful, eye-burning smell.  He feels he better leave the gas mask on, believing in the age-old wisdom that there is always more where that came from. nod.gifbiggrin

I think I like what I've written so far. I'm afraid it might be boring though. I've got the first couple paragraphs up on Goodreads, but I've been told not to post the whole thing anywhere without making it password protected. In case I ever want to get it published, it has less of a chance of being picked up if it's been "published" on the web.

I don't know if I'll want to try to get it published, but I figure I shouldn't doom myself just in case. In December I'll put it up somewhere and give anyone interested the password. Right now, if you read it, you have to tell me it's wonderful. Otherwise I might not finish.

Mz, you've got a really good start from what I could read.  I'm really interested in what happens in the morning when she gets her "fix".  biggrin  Bet the nosey old woman will have something to say about the "delivery" person.

clap.gif  You certainly piqued my interest!  I wanna know what happens next, then next, then next....all the way to the end!!!!  Great job!!!!  biggrinbiggrin

Thanks Ghost! You can tell me what you really think about it after I get to 50,000! The story actually hasn't progressed as far as I thought it would by this point. I may go over.

Oh no, you're encouraged to go over. I'm just afraid that I won't have the time after November, so I'll have to write even more before the end of the month.
