College Daze Revisited On Hiatus

yo!
This show is gonna go for awhile. Its always been sporatic, and wth the end of daylight savings time, it really does still feel like 11 pm, even tho its 10. I hope to use this extra hour to read and perhaps get back into creative writing, for now.smile.gif

yah! that last hour gets long. we'll see. for some reason the polkas and performance artsetc never became a big hit this late on a sunday evening. I thought there were a TON of weird folks out there who'd eat it up like candy. ah well....wink.gif

Hey, I've got some new tunes to send you.  Ever hear anything by Pop Evil?  My daughter bought their cd and there are a few songs on it you might like for College Daze when/if it resumes.  I think she burned 'em at higher than 128 though.....is that gonna be a problem?

Hmm . . .

I could probably pick up that last hour and play some of my Christian stuff. I know its probably not what most of the ones that listen on Sunday nights are really in to, but it would be something different.

Might talk to JR, and then see if anyone at all would be interested if JD really wants to give up that 10-11 hour.

Just an idea.

Ok, I'll send you one sometime this week and you can give it a try, see if it works.  If it doesn't I'll re-load the disc at 128. smile

I'd want to see if anyone else was interested at all. Of course, if you ever wanted that slot back, it would be yours again.

Web you've shared some really good songs here over the years, ones you've even played on, and I would more likely than not stay tuned in to hear, as I read. it'd be fun.smile.gif the whole reason I started wanting to broadcast live on sunday nights was that I missed listening to live broadcasts on sunday nights. everything good moved away from local to syndicated programming. lol Bruce Springsteen covers this topic in "Radio Nowhere".

lol we both might get some complaint emails at first.smile.gif "why the sam hell was I able to tune in at this time and normally hear something from "His Satanic Majesty's Request" and now am now hearing "Earthern Vessels..."

ah well....biggrin.gif

LOL

Yeah, it would be a change although you might be surprised by some of it.

Right now I'm listening to "Fireflight". They rock (not as much as Sandy, but they rock). I'd probably stay away from the really "mushy" stuff.

well great web! I think it'd be way fun to do a multi-regional live broadcast on the same evening. smile.gif

It's your passion. Go with it. Thanks for the times that I've been able to stay up for the Daze. It gets late for me and I'm not even on the air.smile

I don't usually make it to College Days, I'm usually asleep by then. Which makes me sad, because it is something I'd be interested in.

But I like Web's idea. There's a lot of good Christian music out there that doesn't get regular airplay because of its subject matter.

Maybe alternate between College Daze/Part of the Jazz101 or 80's show.
I have to agree with MZ, Daze does interest me.

well, it used to be years ago, that the first hour of jazz 101 was all jazz, but then the second hour or last 1/2 hr would get kinda out there. maybe I'll return to that kinda formatting.

thanks for the support and the suggestions.smile.gif
