Here. I got here a little early expecting the roads to be slick but didn't have any trouble. It might be worse later as we have already hit our high and the temp is dropping.

Morning all. It's work from home Thursday for me. w00t.gif One conference call from 9-11, and a peaceful rest of the day. The meeting maker says the person holding the meeting expects everyone to be in the conference room... guess she will be harshly disappointed with my lack of presence. giggle.gif Oh well... if her meetings actually had a point, I might bother with the in person attendance.

i think thursday is the best day of the work week for me. the realization that the weekend is actually on the horizon; oh, and payday -- even if my paycheck vaporizes before my eyes as it passes from THE MAN'S hand to mine; and best of all, hubby takes care of having supper on the table when we get home...

good morning everyone! y'all have a great day!

You just pick him up, shake him really hard and then watch it snow.

Got any aspirin?

Good morning you all.

I just had a surprisingly good breakfast.  The local Pick n' Save grocery store was selling some off-brand fruit filled frozen pancakes.  They're all rolled up and filled with your choice of strawberry, blueberry or raspberry.  Kind of like a crepe, but these are thicker like normal pancakes.

They were only $2.00 for six pancakes.  I had three, so a $1.00 breakfast ain't bad, and I gotta say, they were delicious!  I had the strawberry.

I think I might go back out and pick up four or five boxes of em' while they're on sale.

Other than that, I'm just about to start doing all my sweeps, so I'll be back in thirty or forty minutes.

Lata!

I snoozed so I losed. crying.gif

They didn't have those pancake thingies on sale anymore, and it was a darn good sale. Instead of 2 for $4 I paid $2.99 each. GRRR.

Next time they put em' on sale I'm wiping em' out.

But I got blueberry and apple cinnamon.

Hi all.  Another cloudy day here; only difference is it's much colder now than it was this morning.  We escaped the snowstorm they predicted for us last night.....we only got a trace of snow. clap.gifsmile  The sky still has that dark snowstorm look to it though.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to make for dinner tonight.  Those fruit filled pancake things JR had for breakfast sound good.  Maybe we'll have breakfast stuff tonight.  smile

Hope everyone's day is going well!

Mrs Web got some of that thick "Texas Toast" bread.

We made French Toast out of Texas Toast just by dipping it in some goo.

Stuff it with cream cheese, cover it in berries and sprinkle some powdered sugar on it!  nod.gif

According to the Food Network you should use stale bread, so go back to last night and leave some slices of bread out for 24 hours.  smile.gif

I think that most Texans would be mighty offended you turned their bread into anything having to do with the French bleh.gif

Let's call it Freedom toast instead!  clap.gif

My wife does that. She'll tell me "use the new loaf for your lunch . . . I'm saving the other for French Toast later this week."

Yeah, according to Alton Brown on the Food Network by using stale bread for your freedom toast it's going to hold together better during cooking.

Makes sense I guess. If it's too soft it'll break apart when you soak it in your egg mix.

Or leave it on Uranus too long.

That will ruin it too.
