Just a regular day at work today then off to the Orlando Magic vs. Oklohoma City Thunder bassketball game tonite!

Good morning everyone, last night we had our client appreciation party at work (old person drunkfest) unlike last year when the ambulance came to revive the old guy that passed out and was choking, everything went pretty well. Around 8:00 a coworker came in and told me he hit my car and that we'd settle up in the morning. Sheez! I wanted to say do you think it was because you had 7 or 8 glasses of wine? no.gif
So now I need a new tail light, bumper, a small metal panel right under where the tail light was and a lift gate. This was the first car I'd ever owned without a dent in it. I think if I ever buy a new car I'm gonna take a hammer to it first thing so we get that out of the way. hmm.gif

All I can say is TGIF! I am tired and did not want to get up. My FIL has to go to the doctor today. Well I should back this up, he went to the dr on Wed where the idiot told him that after he got the port removed he was clearing him. He never told him about needing the stent put in. Did this change or what? Well now he is having other issues including so discoloration and not being able to stay awake. So he is to see the dr today or go to emergency if the dr is not available.

Happy Friday to all! Easy day for me so far... vacation day from work. biggrin.gif I'm probably going to complicate it a bit later on by furthering the Christmas shopping efforts. It's supposed to be almost 40 today... a varitable heat wave!

Woo... massive oversight on your FIL's doctor's part. That kind of thing is way more than an "oopsie" miss. Sorry to hear your family is having to deal with that.

Sparky... nice to see you! Bummer about your vehicle.

Oh yeah! In the news today: O.J. Simpson will be senteced later today for the kidnapping and robbery charges. Couldn't happen to a more deserving fellow. Apparently he could get life in prison.

sparky I felt very much the same way when I bought my car new.

"Here is your brand new cool lookin car. You earned it."

Wham! Crunch! Bam!

3 people have hit me so far. I refuse (or rather, can't) lay down $600 for the latest dent (hit and run/ after insurnace), give up my car for a week, pay for the rental. etc

Next car will most likely be a ghetto cruiser, because the ghetto sure does travel everywhere dinging my new car. Its not worth it.

Luckily, when I have my car in for an insurance claim, they pay for my rental as well.

So after a LONG day with a sick kiddo and no Sparky to save me he gets his car dented as you all heard and then he spent the next two hours on the internet researching the parts. Then off to bed. hmm.gif

He did bring me home cake. They paid $600 for cake....it was dry and not anything exceptional. I guess thats what they do with our money when they lose it. no.gif oh darn your stocks went down...

just cruising by... short day for me... maranda graduates tonight, so have to get home to meet the in-laws and make the drive south.

i pictured the same "office" scene after reading sparky's post... at least he knows where the guy works if he has to send someone to bust knee caps if the guy doesn't take care of it wink.gif

Morning all. Sorry to hear about those of you that are having various issues today hmm.gif

I feel your pain JD & Sparky. I know Dylan has had ridiculous amounts of trouble keeping his new cars ding free too.

That's just another reason I don't care about my cars anymore. I used to always buy new and get it washed and waxed once every week or two, etc. But eventually I got so fed up with the cost associated with a new car and the fear of people damaging it that it just didn't seem worth it.

Now to me a car is nothing more than a utility item. Get me from here to there and back. I don't care what it looks like. The van I just bought could have been hot pink with sparkly rims and hail damage dents all over it, I would still have bought it. All I cared about was the fact it had only 49,000 miles smile.gif

It sounds like Sparky is doing the repairs himself, that's an awful nice gesture. The guy would pay a TON more if you went to the dealer.
