Good morning all you sleepy heads. It's still cold here but at least the sun is out today. We got 3 or 4 inches of the white crap yesterday and last night which means one of us has to go out and clean off all the cars and snowblow the driveway and sidewalks. Hope it isn't me that's going to have to do it.
I talked to my brother this morning. He lives 85 miles north of me, and last night he got 10 inches of snow plus another 6 or 7 is supposed to be on the way today for him. He doesn't live too far from where our cabin is at. I told him I was thinking of spending a few days at the cabin during our Christmas break. He said if I plan to get in the driveway I better call someone ahead of time and have them plow the driveway because there's at least of 3 feet of snow on the ground now. Maybe I'll just stay home instead.
We had our tree lighting ceremony in the village last night. It was super cold but, fun. Dinner at a local restaurant afterwards, I got to have a couple of brandy manhattans. yum. Today is a busy day of work. I've got five projects do soon. One is a newsletter for a motorcyle club. Hoping to get involved in doing newsletters and brochures as a side job. We'll see. Stay warm.

Good morning, all. Its partly cloudy with supposed to be a high of 42 today. I have a few errands to run today, but the highlight of the day will be my grandaughter's birthday party. It's hard to believe that she is already 6!

So the business we're starting is a website called More Than A Meal. You know when someone has an event happen, such as a birth of a baby, or a family member pass away, or a terminally ill family member (like a mom with breast cancer), and the community helps them out with things like meals and babysitting and that sort of thing? This website will track those needs and who is helping out with them, so the family gets what they need without being overloaded. And it'll prevent things like 3 people cooking dinner for them one day and no one bringing them dinner the next day.
oh hello. got the black crowes show tonight to go to. that seems like it should be more of a saturday night thing, than a sunday night thing, but what ya gonna do....

Speak for yourself. I was up at 6:30 and out the door by 7:30.
Church was good today. Pastor had a really good message for the time of the season it is.
I've got three new songs to learn for different activities surrounding the Christmas events. Its nice having them early so I can get started and don't have to learn them in just a couple days.
Mrs Web and the boy went to the grocery store. When they get back we can have some lunch.
Gosh Sandy, that is a lot of snow! Guess you do not know anything else though. It is hard to go winter after winter without any...but when I think back to what it was like, maybe it is not so bad here.
Sounds like a great idea MZ, my last church did something like that. You were put on the list if you wanted and when someone needed a meal they would go down the list to make a meal. It was nice for me when Duane got hurt years ago. The lady who brought me the food and I formed a great bond too!
I, too, was up by 7 and out the door by 8:30. Church was good for us too. Emily has the Christmas program tonight at 6:30, I am looking forward to it. I have been cleaning and made some brownies, need to get the presents out of my van, but E is around. I need to see what I bought and what is left and empty out my car for next weekend's graduation.
Be safe and have fun JD. I know you'll be tired tomorrow!
Hope the party went well Mema.
Sounds like a nice night Squonk, sorry you are working now.

Oh, I'm not working at work, on work. This is for me, personal projects that I've taken on. Family members ask me to do artsy stuff sometimes. CD copies of High School Choirs etc Caligraphy... a poem for my dad's in-laws. (also some tasteful graphics to tie it all together) Newsletter/Flyers for a club in my area. I'm doing it ProBono (not ConCher) just for the experience of working with people on design work/typesetting. It all keeps me out of trouble.

Milwaukee is usually the last place in the Midwest for so many bands. They often do two shows in Chicago and give us the sloppy seconds. Sometimes, we are the only stop in the area. All of Chicago shows up. F'ng Fibs
