Good morning, all! When I went to bed last night, the local forecast said today for me would have a high temp of 18* (possibly) and intermittent snow showers with maybe an inch of accumulation throughout the day. SURPRISE!! That changed. It started snowing around 4AM and has already accumulated 1/2 inch and we are now looking for anywhere between 2-5 inches. Sure am glad it's my last half a work day this year.

Nothing much to report right now. I am very tired, but did sleep last night. My hubby says we should just go to sleep when we get home.
Oh my hubby is working trying to get a work contract with the person who is in charge of ticket sales and promotions for the Red Wings! He found us and is looking for us to do some mailing work for them. My hubby is trying very hard to make this work. He said that he doesn't care if WE are the ones taking the work home to make sure it gets done on time and correctly. LOL! He is so hoping to have connections for possible tickets and whatever.

Our forecast is a mixture of Woo's and Mema's. We have a winter weather advisory all day for rain and freezing rain and snow, with 1/10th inch accumulation of ice. It may not seem like much, but that'll make everything slippery.
Considering we probably won't see the sun at all today, or until spring, I wore my glasses today. I've been wearing my two week disposable contacts for over a month because I haven't gone into the doctor to get a new prescription to get new ones so I'd have money for Christmas instead. So I figured I'd give my eyes a break today.
Good Morning everyone, It's -16 right now. My car is getting fixed so they gave me a loaner car that is a pile of you know what. The transmission is slipping, the ac comes on every time I turn the heater on. It reeks of cig smoke. Did I mention the radio is possesed and comes on by itself without the key in the ignition? Oh the brake light came on too! I opted to drive my truck that has been sitting outside without being started for a month. She started right up! The only reason I got the loaner car was for car seat purposes. But AC is off today.

Sometimes, when i'm lonely... i crawl into a laundry basket and tickle my ears. But, Some times I don't...
We're considerably warmer this morning . . . its 2 now. I can sure tell a difference. It didn't feel nearly as biting cold on my face and the van didn't moan and groan as much as it did yesterday when I started it.
Looks like its going to be UPS day. At least three gifts we ordered look like they are coming in today on UPS. There might be another one on Fed-Ex, I haven't checked on it yet.
I still have to figure out what to get my dad for Christmas. What do you get a guy who is 67 years old and has everything he needs/wants? I hate to do it, but it might come down to a Pizza Hut gift card for lunches when they go there after the county supervisor meetings.
I ordered myself a funky pillow last night. I know I have sleep apnea. I get up every morning exhausted. A couple nights ago, Mrs Web was having trouble sleeping anyway and she said I would stop breathing, choke/cough, then flip or turn over every few minutes. I did some searching and found a pillow that is supposed to be better at positioning your head for snoring and apnea. It had over 400 ratings and they were almost all positive. Hopefully it will help.
Sure am glad it's my last half a work day this year.
