I got a lot of work done on the company website and blog today. It suddenly slowed down incredibly, and will likely be slow until the new year. But it gives me a chance to get some things done.
Well there is a good possibility that we may have to close work tomorrow. We have 100% chance of snow and there may be a foot coming through tomorrow. This is not supposed to start until like 1am though. They are prepared to move the party to Tues but I'm just wondering how they are gonna judge it. It won't all be here when we wake up and I have been called into work before just to be snowed in.
Oh and we had a couple of lame azz call ins (one was I have a toothache!) this morning and the evil part of me hopes we get a snow day just so their paychecks hurt them a bit more!

Only Thursday? It seems to have been a long, busy week for me. The weather is due to be ugly tomorrow morning. I think they are roughing it out as it will start during the morning rush. Wonderful. With it being Friday, perhaps more people will stay home.
I have a list of things to do, so I best go get them completed. Trying to tie up a lot of loose ends before vacation starting next Wednesday.

it's been foggy and misty all morning; looking forward to low 50's today -- YAY!
we have lots of vendors bringing us goodies this week -- mostly candy, but one guy just brought in summer sauage, cheese and crackers... now, all we need is a bottle of wine.
smiles everyone! smiles!

WOW... it's been a morning. I found myself experiencing the same "forum bug" as the other folks. I remembered that someone posted a fix in that one thread.
Cruddy weather here today, and I actually do need to get out of the house. Just in time for the holiday season, my dryer decided to break. Gonna try to fix it today. If that doesn't work out, then I guess I need to go price a new one. Just saw the snow plow go through my neighborhood. I'm kind of wondering what the point of that is... it hasn't started snowing again yet.
Oh well... this day has to get better, right?

so true darlene. I am going to have to remember that. this is the first christmas separated. she gets the kids one the eve and I get the day. that is going to very hard for me not to see them go to bed in anxious anticipation and awake early in excitement.
they have now changed the weather alert to the snow starting at 4am to 4pm. Now I'm really curious as to what the company will do. Do you close in anticipation or ride it out?

"Riding the storm out..."
Now you can sing that song for the rest of the day.

There was one time I was driving to my friend's house, tornado warnings on the radio, trying to get there before it got too nasty. Then the radio started playing that song. I burst out laughing.
Good afternoon everyone. As Woo said, we're under the gun for another big snowstorm moving in early tomorrow morning...10-12 inches of white crap falling at a rate of 1-2 inches per hour. Yippee. I'm hoping they cancel school in the morning because it's looking to be a very nasty drive home from work/school.
Today we exchanged gifts at work. I got a hand-knitted hat, scarf, & mittens; a big tub of homemade spicy Chex Mix along with 3 dozen homemade Christmas cookies; a Yankee Candle; a $10 gift card to Best Buy; and $10 in scratch-off lottery tickets. Maybe I'll get very lucky and win some money on the lottery tickets. I gave each of my co-workers a $10 gift card to Bath & Body Works. One of the girls I work with made a cherry cheesecake and brought it in for us to eat today. It was so good that I wish I had another piece right now.
Not a flake has fallen and they already cancelled school for tomorrow in Providence RI and Boston MA....... I guess I should stop at the video store on the way home, I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.
