Awesome Acting Performances by Famous Music Stars

I saw this article and thought it would be a good topic of discussion here.  What artists have done an awesome job at acting as well?

Obviously, I have to give props to David Bowie.

I think Will Smith belongs on the list.  I mean, at this point, can you believe he used to be the Fresh Prince?

And I'll admit I've never listened to his music, but I think Mos Def is an excellent actor.

I don't know if Madonna belongs here. My thought is no, but someone may know better.

LS is going to kill you for spelling his name wrong, but I agree, Roger Daltrey is a good one to add to the list.

I knew it was wrong. And I knew someone would be killing me. I vaguely remember that conversation.

I wonder if anyone will notice I corrected it. I can fake it. Or maybe leave it wrong by one letter.

No one will notice, and I can discard of most of the evidence. (I think it will still have the little "edited by" on the bottom though.)

Alice Cooper did a phenomenal job in a movie called Prince of Darkness. That movie totally freaked me and my buddy out when we went to go see it- late 80s I think.

Didn't he do a whole album around that too? And a comic with Neil Gaiman? Or am I thinking of something different?

I was wrong, that was The Last Temptation:
Gaiman meets rock star Alice Cooper in this Halloween tale that originally appeared in the early 1990s. It adapts a story from Cooper's album Lost in America, to which Gaiman contributed story and lyrics. Halloween is coming, and young teenager Steven is scaredscared of girls, scared of his friends and scared of growing up. When he and his friends stumble onto the back-alley Theatre of the Real ("The Grandest Guignol"), it looks like the Master of Ceremonies (who bears an uncanny resemblance to Cooper) may have a way to save him from those fearspermanently. Soon, he's seeing the creepy master of ceremonies everywhere.
