Lots of people got some nasty weather last night. I hope everyone got through it okay. (And all the nasty weather we've had up to this point.)
I'm in the office for a few hours today. I'm keeping an eye on the weather in Indiana. We plan to head out of town and up north around noon. I hope the weather cooperates, or we're not going up for Christmas.
Mrs Web has to work until 2:00 today and then we're all home. We'll go to the candle light service at church at 5:30, then come home and let the boy open his presents from us. He's WAY excited.
Tomorrow, we go to my "step sister's" house for Christmas. Originally, the plan was to go to my dad's but somewhere along the way, it got moved to his wife's daughter's place.
Right now, the boy and I are watching "Cash Cab". He really likes that show for some reason.
still waiting on a game time descion to see if I'll try to head to my folks. Weather is calling for "only" 2 to 4 inches. thats putting an optimistic spin on things.......

Good morning, all! I've got to get me up and around. One of my sons, his wife, and my grandson will be headed to my house later this afternoon. They are going to stay the night so I get to spend Christmas morning with them too! We are meeting my other son and his family at their grandfather's house for the family deal. Should be interesting for me.

The boy got to open his presents from us. Right now, his new mp3 player is jammin' the Chipmunks soundtrack through his new speakers while he's working on his 953 piece "Lego City Police Station". He doesn't know it yet, but Santa is dropping off another "Lego City Coast Guard" kit that has about 750 pieces in it. He'll be busy for a while. I'm pretty proud of him. He's taking his time, not getting frustrated, following the instructions, and has several pieces put together already.
We got Mrs Web the new Brad Paisley CD "Play". Its really good. Mostly instrumental, but if you like awesome guitar work, you might like this CD.
She liked the snowman and 2009 Taste of Home Cookbook we got her too.
The boy made us a snowman craft in school. Its cute.
Tomorrow we do it all again with the extended family.
Survived the former in-laws family gathering. Not as many people showed up this year. It did take us an extra hour to get there this year because the wuzband missed the exit off the turnpike. As we were blowing by I asked, "Uh... hey.. isn't that the exit?" (Him)"NO!! It didn't say South Topeka. It said West Topeka." (Me) "But there are only 2 exits for Topeka. The second exit is the one you are supposed to use." (Him)"There are 4 exits for Topeka. It's the South Topeka exit." (Me) "When did they make 2 more Topeka exits, and more importantly... WHY?" (Him)"My parents have only lived there for 30 years, Michele. I'm pretty sure I know how to get to their house!" (Me)"I suppose they moved the water tower too? Its right by the exit you are supposed to use." (Him)"I know that! Of course they didn't move the water tower. I didn't see the water tower." (Son from the back seat) "Daaaaaad... the water tower was by that exit." (Him)"S#$T! Why didn't you tell me that I was coming up on the exit?" (Me) "Well, Kev... they have only lived there for 30 years... I thought you knew how to get there!"
Useless Trivia: There are in fact only 2 exits off the Kansas Turnpike for Topeka, which happens to be the state capital. If you happen to miss both of these exits, you are screwed for another 30 miles. I hope you have enough gas, because the exit that is roughly 30 miles away doesn't have a gas station. You have to travel another 17 miles past that exit to get to a gas station.
Moral of the story: Traveling to Topeka probably isn't worth it!
