YAY! Christmas Day is finally here. I fell asleep last night listening to the Mass at St. Peter's Basillica. (Shame on me!) Got up this morning to the sound of my 5 year old grandson, Walker, TRYING to wait patiently to open presents. He was so stoked!! Mema hit another home run on the present buying. He got a set of Magnetix and a soccer ball, but I swear he had more fun playing with the box of packing popcorn that my Secret Santa present was in. When I get the pictures his mom took, I will post them. TOO FUNNY!
Hope everybody is having a great day!

Santa did good. Santa didn't get the boy the same "Lego City" set that we got him. How lucky is that?
We'll be heading out here in about an hour to my "step sister's" for Christmas dinner. Its only about 12 miles from here so we don't have much driving to do today.
Got some nice things today including my WONDERFUL SECRET SANTA FROM RUBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cant wait to read the book and the candle has been going since agbout 930 and smells YUMMY! ( CARemel) Thanks again RUBY. ITs awesome. The shot glass is also Pretty. ( still waiting on a South Carolina one tho )
We are off to my mothers. today. got the ham and extras ready.
I got an MP3 player ( 4gb); the Harry Potter book Tales of Beedle the Bard; some socks ( I need them) Some Cookware( need more of that) and the Mama Mia Movie. o also got the Charmed Series First Season. I cant wait to watch it.
Thanks Thump... but that is a SC shot glass! The book is good too!
Emily woke up at 4 and threw up for about 10 minutes. She is fine now. We had a nice morning and have been lounging and eating all day.
I, too, LOVE my SS gift. Very, very sweet Wiz of Oz stuff. Thanks so much Mema, I hope you had as much fun shopping as I did opening and now enjoying! It made my morning and was the first gift I opened!
I'm glad you liked your present, Ruby! I figure you probably have tons of Wizard of Oz stuff, but really, how often to you actually get it sent from Kansas?
Thank you, SG for the TOTALLY AWESOME Santa Flamingo!! I LOVE IT!! That is sooooo me!

Everything is already done on my end. I just got back from Christmas dinner with family and the holiday is now officially over for me. Kind of a releif.
I got some cool gifts though! A bread machine, which I've wanted for years. The fourth season of Saturday Night Live on DVD and some Ca$h. You can never go wrong with cash right?
I hope everyone had as good a Christmas as I did! Enjoy your long weekends.
Merry Christmas to my Freeze Frame Family!!! I also had a very enjoyable day; lots of food, family all together, and some fun presents too. I got a couple of new books, 2 very nice gift set from Bath & Body Works, some cute little knick knacks for our cabin, AC/DC's new cd, a new hoodie, 2 pairs of flannel jammies (I'm wearing a pair right now....nice and toasty warm!), and a couple of gift cards.
Along with a whole bunch of other stuff, Santa left my girls the new Guitar Hero game along with Rock Band 2's drum set. We've been jammin' all afternoon!! I love when Santa leaves stuff for the girls that I can play with too!!!!
Hope all of you are enjoying the time together with your family and friends!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
Merry Christmas all! (And to all a good night at this point?)
We just got back home. We only went two places this year, to Brian's family's on Christmas eve and my step-grandparent's today. We're going to see my dad on Sunday. He called just as we were leaving and I think he wanted us to stop by today, but we just got home and Brian needs to go to bed since he has to work in the morning.
We got a bunch of books. My mom knitted Brian fingerless convertible mittens, and me a pretty silvery-gray shawl. My sister got me the Labyrinth DVD!!! It's tempting to stay up tonight and watch it, but I do have to get up in the morning to take Brian to work. I think our family liked the things we got them, my stepdad wore his shirt today.
its been a fun few days hangin out with nephews and relatives and my girlfriends relatives. fun to see my cousins and their kids gettin big. fun to see how happy my 95 yr old grandma is overseeing this too.
its been a wonderful holiday of simple gifts from the heart. in a rough economy, the little pampering things we sometimes forget to do for ourselves was more than taken care of by others. a good book, a good blanket, a good bottle of wine, a nice jar candle, some home made candy. At this point I'd take these gifts of care and love more than $100000. The smiles I've witnessed and experienced this Christmas are absolutely priceless. They mean more to me than all the money in the world.
everyone have a merry christmas and a happy new year.

My Christmas day turned out very nicely. My older son and his family spent the night last night, so we opened presents with them early in the morning, then my younger son and his family wandered over later in the morning and we opened presents with them too. After that I cleaned up my decimated house and then went over to my brother's house to hang out with him and my mom for a little while.
Everyone seemed happy with their gifts, and I got some nice stuff too. I got a couple pairs of socks with skulls on them... VERY me. As I mentioned before, my Secret Santa (SG) sent me a totally awesome Phil Flamingo... again, VERY me. Even the wuzband decided to be nice and give me a few presents... a shot glass and a shirt from the Harley store where I bought my bike... it is closing soon because of the economy... and one of those fleece blanket wrap things that is almost a robe. Not the Snuggie, but something sort of like it. Very thoughtful of him after years of freezing me out of the house.
