I bought myself some new golf clubs.  The weather was great for golf yesterday too.  It was 85 degrees with a slight breeze, not a cloud to be found in the sky.

CP- can I ask you what brand of clubs you bought & why & how you like them etc? As an amature hack myself, (due to the fact wisconsin has july, august and winter as its weather- I know you know this) I don't get out as often as I'd like (dang work too). BUT my rummage sale set includes a 9 iron, pitching wedge, and 5 iron by Ram. I LOVE THESE CLUBS! Solid, without being too heavy, just got a good feel to them. My buddy Jughead went and got himself some Pings; I lost him in the woods 2 yrs ago- the "best clubs" in the world couldn't help the spaz. All show and no go....good ol' Jughead...

Happy Birthday, CP!  (And many a more!)  Hope it was great!  But then, with 85 degree weather, I don't see how it couldn't have been.  I'm jealous!

JD--if you feel comfortable and the clubs are working for you don't change.  It is all personal preference.  I lean toward Callaway and Clevelands for my irons.  I like the flex graphite shaft. (Having had back surgery, the steel and low flex shafts are too heavy for me.  I do not get the same distance but accuracy has improved.) Most important thing is to have the lie angles checked.  Take them to a shop and have them test your lie angle and adjust the club accordingly.  That more than the club will improve your game.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.

Cool- thanks for the tips CP. I will send out an invite when we are ready to host the first annual Freeze Frame Radio Golf Outing....actually it will probably be just me and Riggs at a pitch-n-put....and he doesn't even golf so he'll probably just have beer and watch me hack away......and the pitch-n-put is on a bad side of town........... (nevermind
