I have been here all morning not able to get the forum to load.
Was on the forum last night when my internet went, hope that was just a last night issue. Then couldn't sleep again and work is really irking me today. 2008 is going out with a bang I guess.

I've been trying to get on the forum too and was unable to connect.  Seems ok now.

We got a couple of inches of snow last night; nothing to write home about, but enough to make everything all white again.

Today would have been my mom and dad's 49th wedding anniversary.  They were married at 7:00 p.m. New Year's Eve.  I always thought it would be kind of cool to be married on New Year's Eve.  Anyway, it's a hard day for my dad; he never knows what to do with himself on this day.  And I'm afraid I'm not much help to him because I never know what to say to him. I always invite him to come to our house, but he prefers to spend New Year's alone.  He misses my mom more on this day than he does any other day of the year.  It makes me feel helpless because there isn't anything I can do to try to make him feel a little bit happier.  If he wasn't taking Coumadin, I'd take him out and get trashed with him. biggrin

I'm at work today, probably all day. I could've taken the day off, but I'd rather save my vacation days.

Yesterday my nose and eyes were itching and I was all sneezy. I thought it was my heater under my desk drying me out. Then Brian and I walked out to the car and he asked, "What's all over your car?" Me: "Oh, that's sawdust. They were trimming trees away from power lines yesterday." Brian: "Well that's it then!" Me: "Huh? Brian: "Your allergies!" Duh. So today I'm a bit itchy and groggy yet, mostly just getting over the histamine overload. And I forgot to take any meds before I left the house.

But tonight it looks like I might get to watch a baby! My friend and I were talking about what we're doing for New Years, and we both are just sitting at home. But I just don't feel like going out, although she doesn't have a babysitter. So I volunteered. But I haven't asked Brian...

Yeah; they used to have big parties at their house on New Year's.  It was always a lot of fun.  They'd even put on some rock n roll to set the tone.  That was very unlike my parents to do....they were both die hard Country fans, rock n roll just wasn't their thing. But they'd dance and stuff with their friends.  It was fun; I have a lot of great memories of those parties. smile

Hi all..we just got home from the funeral..glad thats over. I sure hope that 2009 is better...08 wasnt terrible but it can always improve. So Jules how is the happy family doing?
