New Years Resolutions?

I vow to dry my hands better before leaving the mens room at work. Often times if I'm distracted or in a hurry, I do not thoroughly dry my hands after washing them while at work. Inevitably after leaving the mens room, someone passes by that gets a handshake or a high-five. Before doing that tho, I am usually wiping my hands dry on my pants. I just got to dry them better before leaving the mens room.

JD, that is probably the most obscure New Year's resolution I've ever heard.

I resolve to get some of Brian's jewelry up for sale on Etsy. I set the account up today, so I'm pretty close to reaching my goal.

I also need to get my exercise routine started again.

I'm going to get back into my exercise routine.  I've got all the equipment here at home.  So beginning tomorrow morning, I'll be hitting the weight machine and stationary bike.  I'm counting on you guys to ask me every day in January if I exercised; that way I'll keep the motivation up if I know I have to report to someone. biggrin

Well I said I was gonna TRY.......I'm not sure how long that will last; maybe an hour, a day, a week.  Time will tell. laughing.gif

with a new job at Blue Cross of OK. I quit smoking as of 1100 PM dec 31 2008.

Buddy system Ghost?  I need to start exercising every day again too.  My plan is to exercise every day Tuesday through Saturday.  (Brian goes in at a different time on Mondays, and Sundays just don't work for me, I've tried that before.)

Ok, I came up with something that I can actually accomplish that is not a set up for absolute failure for me, such as losing weight or exercising, yet will be worthwhile.

I am ashamed to say that I do not participate in a recycling program at home. Therefore, for 2009, I resolve to do my part in sorting our glass, plastic, and paper for recycling and also to commit family participation in doing so.

here's another one.

I need to remember to turn off my windshield wipers before turning off the engine. I do not like when there is ice on my front window and when I start the car, the blades grind and try to move.

That's a good one JD, I have the same problem. With my old car, the only way I could turn off the wipers was to turn off the engine, so now I forget that I can turn them off first.

the wiper on the drivers side becomes partially unscrewed if theres too much weight on it as it tries to go up, and then they are all out of wack. lol that should be in the things I hate thread, but I vow to make it a resolution instead to deal with it the right way.smile.gif

I had that problem on my old car too! I had to tighten that wiper all the time.

i don't forget to turn them off but my husband does, but the problem with that is that he doesn't see it as a problem and wonders why I glare at him.

And good for you Thumper! New job and to quite smoking.

I hope the quitting thing is going well. I have watched a few people try it. Not many succeed the first time around. Don't give up! If you fall off, start all over. Even if it starts by your reducing the number of cigarettes you smoke a day, it'll work.

I want to learn how to use my broiler at home. I see some good lookin recipies that I dont make, because I'm not sure how to use my broiler.
