Well, unlike all of you, I have a life. Just kidding. No, I busy myself with a lot of stuff that doesn't allow time on the forum. I wish that I could just have a thought and later, it would be posted for me. I'm involved with a couple of different forums and really don't get out to any of them as much as FFR. Those other forums are so massive. It's hard to keep up with. The only other group that's smaller are the 60 Oldsmobile/Wednesday Night Classics. I've met some of them in person.
Tonight is a short one. I'm working on some documents for the Motor Cycle Club right now. Just loaded a trial of a program that converts PDF to InDesign. Sort of sucks though... I can only convert ten documents. Multiple page documents only convert the first page accurately. Bastards!

I'm just glad to see you around these parts!  Hey, is your brother scheduled to a show this coming Wednesday night??  I really enjoyed the music he was playing the night I tuned in and would like to catch another when he's on.

Not sure if my bro is on this week. His slot would be 6-9pm cst on Wednesday eve.
I have to get rolling. Stuff to do downstairs, away from the computer.
Later.
Hey the Pop Evil, it's okay-ish. A bit too formula on some of the tunes. Nice to add to the collection. Thanks.hmmsmile

You're welcome.  Yeah, there are a couple that get irrating to listen to, but like you said, it's something to add to a collection.

Enjoy the rest of your evening!!!  Good to chat with you for a bit. smile

Squonk, convert them to Illustrator instead, no converter needed.  Just open them from inside AI.  Now if they converted the text to a picture before they saved the PDF, you're screwed.  But if the text is text, you should be able to work with it.  It's not always the best, but it usually works for my needs.

Mz,
I'm familiar with that trick but, had to find out how this stuff works.
It was pretty cool. The PDF, no matter what is was made in becomes an InDesign document. The images, sometimes suffer. But, I have all the quality images to replace them. The nice feature, the lines of text are all connected with in each paragraph. Unlike working with PitStop, where you can't do hard (or soft) returns in a pdf. Illustrator isn't my favorite type setting software.
I do like IA to be free to move around, stretch etc.

Thanks,
Squonkhmm

I don't have an InDesign converter, so I use AI whenever I need to work with a PDF. But I do prefer InDesign for layout.

Fair enough.
In quite a few cases, PitStop can work magic. Other times, you're, well you know.evileye

I don't use any prepress programs like PitStop. Is it worth it?
