Bomb Clock

danger bomb clock.jpg

Hey sleepyhead, tired of alarms that arent loud or persistent enough to wake you from a deep slumber? Try this Danger Bomb Clock. Youll be presented each and every morning with an explosion sound that is designed to get you up and out of bed (be sure to turn the volume down if you live in an apartment so as to avoid embarrassing Fire Department visits). To stop the bomb you need pull out one code from three. The safety code is randomly reset each morning or until you decide to take the alarm clock outside and run over it with your car. Not recommended for carry on airline luggage.

Danger Bomb Clock - $37.40

I can't imagine that being the most ideal way to wake up.....disbelief.gif

when I was a kid, my dad had this huge wind up alarm clock that we'd use on the mornings we'd want to wake up early to go fishing.2 huge bells and a mallet. by god that thing could wake up an entire city block! It was way effective for "get up get up NOW!" but I remember my dad having to change his shorts, and me with a mouth full of plaster from hitting the ceiling whenever that thing went off.bleh.gif

Man I would not want one of those!

When we were kids my mom, God rest her soul, would put my brother's AC/DC 8 track in and crank up Hells Bells!smile Man I miss her....

The very first summer I was in my house, I was sleeping one early June Saturday morning. Had the windows open. It was all peaceful, but that was maily since I was asleep. One of the largest parks in town park is on the same street, continues along the creek and runs behind the house. I have a baseball field behind my house. Anyway, picture it. Me sleeping. Then boom! boom! boom! boom! Scared the living daylights out of me. I rolled out of bed and hit the floor. I had no idea what was going on. It was either 8 or 9am. Talk about a wake up call. Eventually I found out that every year the park is a site to a huge volleyball tournament for two days. They call it the annual rumble or something like that. The noise was the signal that the tournament had officially begun.

Man, I can't wake up to stuff like that or I'll be cranky all day. I can't even put my alarm on buzzer, it has to be music, on low.

If I put the music on low, I will sleep through it. Yes, it has happened. I am a lousy morning person. I go with the two step alarm process. I set the first one and the music comes on. When that annoys me enough, I turn it off. But because I don't trust myself, I have the second alarm set 30-35 minutes later and that is on the buzzer.

ditto! My alarm clock increases the music gradually to a volume level I have set. Once in awhile it trips out and goes full blast and man am I cranky when that happens. When hubby goes fishing up north he sets the buzzer. He is so lucky that clock is no where near me or he'd get up, close and personal with that thing when it goes off.

I should buy one of those for my son! He is really hard to wake. I tried everything from violently shaking his whole bed to an air horn back when he was in college.

We have a neighbor that has to be the same way. They live in the same building as us, but further down, but I don't know exactly which house. At 6, their alarm buzzes incessantly. When I leave for work, it's still buzzing. In the summer when I have the windows open, I usually wake up to it instead of my own alarm clock. It's far enough away that it's still quiet, so it doesn't wake me up right away.

Hmm.  Next time we're at your place for an UNO party I'm gonna have to sneak into your room and turn the volume down to low so it's not loud enough to wake you but just loud enough to subliminally get into yer brain.

After a few days maybe we'll knock some sense into ya!  biggrin.gif

Oh come on now JD! You know you got WAY too nice of a little nest egg going to be a liberal anymore. Time to start worrying about protecting what's yours. Time to go Republican.

You want I should get you the paperwork to become and RNC member? We could be committee brothers! clap.gif

There is always time to change JD. I just had a friend of mine say to me last week that as he listened to this one speak and read a book by this other guy, he realized he was actually more of a republican. I had to laugh at him and then asked him why he was a registered democrat. "Because that is what the family was." He is the youngest. He has voted for people in both parties before. I'll bet a lot of people first register as whatever party runs in their family until they are really old enough to do their own research and have understanding.

I have a friend who always registers and votes republican, but who always agrees with me on issues. I had her take one of those political affiliation tests, and she came out as a conservative democrat. She's still in denial. I think it's an image thing. To her, you're either a hippy or a redneck, and she'd rather be a redneck.

I'd be throwing that clock under my car the first time it went off.  I'm a light sleeper and a morning person, so waking up to my alarm buzzer isn't a problem for me.  Most days I'm up before my alarm even goes off at 6:00.  I've had to wake up at the time for the last 34 years.......school and work. hmm
