My Bloody Valentine 3D

It was sooooooo good! What an awesome experience! My husband enjoyed it so much that he wants to pick up the girl and go see it again Sat! 3-D has come a long way baby! No more paper glasses. you get like a pair of sunglasses. Everyone looks like The Blues Brothers smile

I had heard that it was very gruesome but I didn't think it was. It had it's moments but I didn't think it was over the top gruesome.

I assume you have to return the glasses when you're done right?

Just yesterday I was reading how 3D is not like it used to be. In fact the head of some hollywood company was saying he wished they'd call this new incarnation something different because he thinks it's not right to lump it in with the crappy 3D of 20 years ago.

Wow. Do they charge more for the movie to cover them?

This guy from the industry said he felt 3D movies should be charged $4 more than a normal movie.

a good time indeed!

our theater price was $2 more than the normal. I was so happy we had 3-D and wasn't stuck with the 2-D format

Since I am up, I went looking to see what others thought. (Don't look it up, spoilers everywhere! )It seems to be mixed but I think the problem is how you are going into the movie. This is a remake of classic 80's slasher. People are complaining about storyline and whatnot. People it's a slasher film!! Don't over think it and have a good time! Geez! Oh and I purposely didn't tell my husband what I thought about it due to Jensen being in it until he gave me and honest opinion and like I said, he wants to go again! (hmmmm ramble much?, well it's a bit late)
I woulda enjoyed it a lot more if I didn't have text boy next to me. My hubby eventually nudged him and told him to close his phone. If we go again, I hope for someone better next to me but I doubt it.

Sounds like a movie I might enjoy.  I loved the slashers of the 80s. biggrin

If you have a 3D theater go!!! If not swing by Grand Blanc Trillium by me smile

I've heard people like it in 2D too but I liked the whole 3D experience plus the actors played it for 3D.

I'll have to check and see how they're showing it here.  Like the idea of sunglasses instead of those stupid cardboard things they used to give you.

Thanx for the thread, Woo and happy to hear the movie was as good as we knew it would be ;)

From what you wrote about it and since your hubby liked it too I'm thinking my boyfriend is gonna enjoy it too (he's a big slasher-flick fan but a little weary of my jensen-ackles-mania). So I'm hoping I won't have to drag him to the theater with me when it's ever gonna open in Austria (it usually takes 1 to 3 months for american movies to open in Austria once they started in the US).

I'm guessing you're gonna go to see Friday 13th too, when it opens?

WOw, thanks for sharing your impressions of the movie! I wondered if it would be any good, and I was interested in seeing this and The Unborn. Now I'll have to convince my sister to go with me to see it!

As long as you go into the movie knowing what it is and don't put these really weird expectations on it, it is a very cool ride :)
i've also heard it is better the 2nd time around, catching stuff you missed, knowing what is actually going on. So I will see!

I found out at bowling that my sister wanted to see this. Now I feel bad because I didn't ask either time I went! She saw the original so it peeked her interest.

I hope she goes and gives me a review!
