Hey JR, I'm wondering if you haven't gotten around to getting this single up yet (I think it was just released as a single this week), or if you're not putting it up on purpose.
I just read an article about it, and my curiousity is sparked.
I hadn't heard that it was released as a single yet, I'll have to check my usual sorces.
But yeah, it will be a tough call. To be honest, I'm apparently not hip enough to understand why it's dirty, but from what I've read it's considered to be pretty controversial.

Yeah, I've heard it explained that way, but I just don't see or hear it no matter how hard I try.
I've seen much worse stuff played on air, so personally if it's a single and no one here objects I don't think it would bother me.
But I just checked an Billboard still lists CIRCUS as the most recent single. Maybe their next issue will include it, or maybe it's not an official single from the label as much as album rock stations just starting to play it.
Either way we could add it here regardless. I'll give it another listen later today.
Eh, repeating it in my head I guess I hear it now. But it's a REAL stretch. You gotta speak the words in a pretty un-natural way to get what you want out of them.

I'm all for playing it, but I'm also pretty anti-censorship. It's not like we have a lot of kids listening, and most kids wouldn't understand it anyway.

My vote would be for yes as well. Although I AM for censorship to the degree that I don't want actual F-Bombs and worse on the air, this doens't meet the criteria of offensive for ME.

I'm not exactly a Britney fan, but I've noticed something kind of annoying on this album. So far, I like the songs, but her voice is electonic-ized in all of them.

But none of that tongue in cheek stuff bothers me in the least (although I recall acting as if you were all giving me a heart attack in that thread, that was just for humor).
Some of my favorite songs are "A**hole" by Denis Leary, "Get In The Ring" by Guns N' Roses (I loved the way Axl called out the media in that one) and a variety of others that have swearing in them.
I'm just a big believer that playing that stuff in a public venue isn't right unless everyone who's there is aware of it and accepting of it.
