It looks like a snow day today here. A neighboring county and the city next to us have both declared a snow emergency. They're calling the highways "passable but hazardous." It's been snowing and sleeting off and on. I think I'm going to stay at home, at least for the morning.
Today is not a good day. I keep trying to have better days but it just ain't happening. My sister called this morning, hubby talked to her because she was calling in, she lost the baby. I have no details cuz I'm sure he wasn't pushing her but they couldn't find the heartbeat. I'm guessing she had an appointment yesterday when they discovered this. I was worried about whether she could carry the baby but I still didn't expect this.

Man, that's hard Woo. How far along was she? I had a friend who lost her first baby too. It took them forever to get pregnant, and then after 2 months she miscarried. They didn't know if they would try again, but they did, and they now have a happy, rambunctious 2 year old.
I'm not exactly sure, but just a few months. She told us just before Christmas. She was just starting to show some. It wasn't a planned pregnancy but they were happy. And this would of been a baby with her new husband. She's 43 and has had surgery so I worried but still.....

We had an early miscarriage before the boy came along too. It wasn't devastating for us, because it was early enough we had the first dr appointment scheduled, but hadn't had it yet. I sometimes think about it and wonder if it was a boy or a girl, what kind of personality he/she would have had, etc.
Morning all. We are dealing with the storm most of you had. Snow started later last night. Over the last few hours we moved into the rain/sleet/freezing rain so now there is a sheet of ice on top of everything phase. It is due to turn to all rain and wash this mess away by this afternoon. I am at work, no issues. Not many people were out, that was very helpful. I think the schools are on two hour delays.
Woo - I am sorry to hear about your sister. I hope she recovers well.
As for me, I think I am off to play with OH and KY.
