Does it feel like Friday?

Good day all.

This week has been a crazy surreal week for me.  And I have to work tonight and tomorrow.  So it doesn't feel like Friday to me at all.

It's been a long week for me but that may be due to the cold. I had problems sleeping but that sometimes happens after watching Supernatural. I really liked the episode and wanted to write my thoughts on it but then I thought hubby was mad at me for staying up but he wasn't. Stupid misunderstanding. He went to bed cuz he fell asleep on the couch, but he didn't say good night. When I went to bed I said something about it and he was fine. ARGH! I might of slept better if I had just let them thoughts out. Instead I had them running through my brain all night hmm
Oh well- lol

Good mornin'.

I slept a little better than usual last night.

The pain I was having in my belly yesterday gradually went away and from late afternoon on until now, there has been nothing strange . . . so I'm not worrying about what it was now.

Unless customers change my plans, I'm going to spend the next 45 min or so on a book, then I'll get back to billing again.

Morning all.

You are reading a book Web? I know you mentioned you do not like to read for entertainment, or maybe I am confused.

My temper came to a head this am and I kicked our bathroom door this morning and then spent the next 20 minutes picking up broken mirror pieces. I am ashamed and embarrassed. But maybe I can regroup and use the shame to my advantage.

Had a nice dinner last night for my birthday- ate some yummy oysters.

have a great!

I don't think it feels like Friday either. But that could be more so since I missed Monday. I am already awaiting the end of the workday though. I am looking forward to getting a good rest tonight and staying in my bed tomorrow morning. nod.gif

DS - that tea looks like it would be good. Have you tried it? Or is it a totally made up tea?

Fuzzy, that is real tea made by Cestial Seasonings. Sometimes it helps me when I'm uptight.

Sorry you're sick, JD. That sucks.

You are correct, I did mention that. This is a 9 week study/devotional that I'm doing along with an online community of worship leaders.

I like mint. I like citrus. But I can only imagine how nicely they taste together. I have green tea bags with orange, passionfruit and jasmine in my desk drawer. I also keep decaf green tea in the drawer.

Sometimes you just need an outlet.  I wouldn't feel too ashamed about it.

One time, I was in a bad mood and changing the kitty litter.  It was a box that had handles on a sieve at the bottom, then you pour the litter over it. Then when you need to clean it, you just pull up on the handle.  Well, the handle kept breaking off every time we used it.  When it broke of when I was already in a bad mood, I screamed and threw the handle out of the bathroom.  It put a nice 2" hole in the wall.

Good day all. I've been around the office for a while. Today feels like an eternity... it is "goodbye day". All of our voluntary layoff people are leaving, including my friend Eric. When I first got here he came over and gave me a hug. cry.gif Got a note from the first supervisor I had when I moved to network... today is her last day as well.

Good day all.

Mema, I'm sorry for all that is happening at your work. It's hard for everyone involved, I'm sure. I went through something similar at HD for months, and it's so difficult to deal with the impact whether you're the one leaving or the one staying behind. Praying for everyone there.

JD, feel better! Don't push yourself too hard with work, or you'll just get sicker and pass it on to someone else at work. Get some rest!

My day is OK, just busy. My boss went home with the flu a little while ago.

Yesterday a lady in the office said something funny and I'm still giggling about it today. She broke the heel of her shoe so it was squeaking while she walked. She stopped by a little while later to tell my her shoe was broke and sounded like a squeaky fart whenever she stepped on it, and she didn't want me to think she was farting as she walked by. laughing.gif

That's a new one!

The squeeky shoe is embarrassing. giggle.gif Poor Pambo had to live with that for a day once.

As hard as this day is around here, it is in fact going to get worse. We are now working through the process of selecting involuntary separation candidates. That is the bulk of the layoffs announced by Sprint on Monday. There will be 3500 less people working for the division that Pambo and I do by then end of March.

Oh no...I'm so sorry to hear that Mema. It's rough when you know what's going to happen but don't know who's job is on the line for so long...the stress is terrible. I just heard from a friend still at HD that they will be waiting for another 100 or so corporate location layoffs this spring...that makes a year of HD employees being told their butts MIGHT be on the line.

The BS to all of that...the CMO keeps saying how the brand is staying strong, the employees are valued, and the end of all these "changes" is in sight. He said that last February, too - I guess he's wrong. evileye

As Dylan occasionally says, "Perk up little coffee bean."

It is Friday. It is a rough day. But I think I'll go ahead and plan on winning the powerball jackpot tomorrow night. Doesn't that sound like fun?

I'm trying to hit the powerball myself. smile.gif We just had the "goodbye" potluck for our departing folks. After that, I went to talk to my uber-cool boss, Ken, for a while. He tells me it will all be okay, so I believe it.

Ken rocks! w00t.gif And you can tell him I said that.

If at any time Ken no longer rocks, please keep me informed.

Ken definitely ROCKS! w00t.gif I tell him that just about every day, even when I wasn't working for him. He's basically my "work dad".
