Maybe because in the past, the guys doing the amber alerts weren't very good?

I think they work very similar to us, and no one gets paid anything.

Judging from all the various voices we've heard, some of them quite regional sounding, I had just always assumed local law enforcement recorded the alert and submitted it to the system.

That computer voice is just creepy. hmm.gif
