They made some changes that appear to have ruined our forum :(

I'm not really finding any new options that I like, for the time being though we'll be stuck with this blue/white thing.

I kind of like the plain blue color scheme. It makes it less conspicuous when I have it up at work or the tax office.

I think you're probably right.  They used to offer a lot more options, but little by little those options are going to their GOLD Package which you have to pay for.

On a number of occassions I've given consideration to  paying for it, but I keep forgetting how outrageous their prices are.  It's based on how many page views the forum gets, and we get a ton.  I think it would cost around $30 a month for us to have the Gold package.

Forget that noise!  As long as I can read what everyone's posted I'll deal with less than perfect layouts and annoying ads (which I block with FireFox anyway!)

Question I keep forgetting to ask - and this actually started happening after a few changes ago.

When I'm typing something in the Forum, and want to change the font size, all of the choices in the drop down menu make it too tiny to read. Even if I choose Large, it looks way smaller than it should be. So what I usually end up doing is opening a Word document, sizing it to something normal, and then cutting and pasting into the Forum. (??)

Wow, that's odd.  I have no idea why that would happen LS.

I haven't had that problem.  In fact I just increased the font to 14pt and it's clearly bigger on the screen as I type.

What browser are you using?  Are you on a Mac?

 

No - PC.  Internet Explorer.

Aha, I figured it out LS!  In your User Details - Settings, change "Use Advanced Editor" to "Yes" instead of Fck Editor, and that should fix it.
