First of all: In the weathergod I DO NOT trust!! Instead of less and less (as it is supposed to be) its only getting more and more Winter here. I woke up to 10 cm of new snow that wasnt there outside my window when i went to bed yesterday - and its freezing too
Secondly: Refuse to let bad weather interfere with my oh-yes-its-weekend-mood; so after breakfast I'll be heading out for my saturday-shopping-marathon (among other stuff i'm planning to get a whole load of spring-clothes, just because); later on in the evening meeting up with friends.
Good morning everyone. My stomach seems to have settled down a little, but I haven't put much of anything in it either so we shall see how it goes today. I plan to take it easy today and nap when I can. I didn't sleep very well last night; for some reason whenever I'm sick, I have the most disturbing and bizzare dreams!
The weatherman says we're under a winter storm warning until 10 tonight. Supposed to snow heavy at times, about 2 inches an hour.
Mrs Web went over to her nephew's to help with fire clean up. I think it was Wednesday night, they forgot about a "low burn" candle they had going. At 4:30am, He was asleep in the chair in the living room and she was out in the garage working. The candle was sitting on a plastic drawer stack unit and when it burned down to the bottom, the jar broke and caught the drawer unit on fire which then quickly spread. The smell woke him up and that bedroom was already mostly engulfed in flames. He shut the door which slowed it down enough to keep it contained to that room while the fire dept got there.
That bedroom is a total loss, but the rest of the house is just smoke damage. Today, they are emptying the house and deciding what can be cleaned and what can't. Mrs Web is going to help with clothes washing and what ever she can do to help. What a mess for them.
I stayed up late and am a bit groggy today. Snow was supposed to start at 6am but it didn't start until around 10am and is snowing very little. So I'm not sure what we are getting of this "Big Snowstorm"
As far as plans, I'm not sure. I believe I will drug to the grocery store. I'm not sure if he still wants to go to the RV/camper expo to just walk around or not.
Have a good one!

Shopathon went excellent - well at least it did for the clothing industry - I think I might just have bought about the entire spring/summer-collection of Mango and Zara
All I need now is the appropriate temperatures, so i can actually wear it too
Confuzzed - of course I got you some skittles *handing them over* (I heard you like those)
Good afternoon, all! I'm getting me together to go do a little shopping here. Haven't stuck my hand out the front door yet, but I hear it is cold out there. Last night was VERY windy. Not much going on at the moment.
Sandy, good to hear you are on the upswing. Stomach bugs are always nasty.
Muffy, YAY for you for going shopping. Wish I had the $ to do it up right.
Fuzzy, Its SATURDAY! ENJOY!!
Web, I'm glad to hear that no one was hurt. Hopefully most of the stuff will be salvageable.

Oh. My. Goodness. I am a fricking genius! I just made the most fabulous strawberry shortcake ever, everyone is invited over to my house for some.
I took a drop biscuit recipe and modified it: 1/4 cup softened butter, 1 tbs baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbs sugar, 2 cups sifted flour, 1 cup milk. Greased baking sheet, 425 degree oven, 15 minutes.
I cut up the fresh strawberries, put a touch of lime juice over them, and a bit of sugar. Then I mashed them with a potato masher and put them in the microwave for 30 seconds. It made them nice and juicy.
Then I made some homemade whipped cream with organic heavy cream (this is the first time I've made whipped cream with organic cream, and it made a TON of difference), 2 tbs sugar, and 1/2 tsp vanilla.
Super easy, and the best strawberry shortcake I've ever made.
I like hearing from Muffy- how she's in austria, and is having what seems to very much be the same weather we are getting here, plus that its tax time there as well.....same struggles, different part of the globe.....
