Thursa daya

Good day all.

It's weird.  I've been laying back down for a few minutes after I take my hubby to work in the morning before I start getting around, yet I'd still feel tired.  Today, I didn't lay back down and I'm kind of perky.  (Well, perky enough for not having any coffee.)

Perhaps it's because it's warmer today and the sun is starting to come up when I drop Brian off.  Of course, that'll change in a week.  Daylight Saving starts March 8.  The high around here on March 8 is going to be 39 degrees.  I think they should at least wait to implement Daylight Saving until the weather starts to warm up.

Morning. Cold and kind of yucky. We have the coludy thing with some rain and small hail-type precip. It is supposed to get better and into the low 50s today.

In the meantime, while it will be nicer outside, I am going to try to take care of all the odds and ends on my desk.

Work on.

Morning all. I'm awake, but could easily lay back down and sleep for a few more hours. yawn.gif Its a rainy kind of day here... just perfect for sleeping... but I must resist the urge.

Good thinking!

I should go back home and spend about two hours searching under my pillow to see if I can find it.

Maybe it is hiding under my pillow. Or under the sofa. Perhaps I ought to go home and check.

checking in late.  isaac had an eye appointment this morning.  poor little dude had to have his eyes dilated.  still holding off on patching the left eye; hoping that swapping out the left lens in his glasses does the trick.

not bragging or anything...  tulsa metro weather today is going to be in the 70's -- it's already 74!  OK, i was bragging biggrin

y'all have a good day!

another option we use alot (to avoid a kid being called a pirate) is we dilate the good eye every day to make the bad one work harder.

hi, ally! THAT really sounds like a better idea. how does that work during the "weaning" period? Do you dilate every other day and so on?

The drops slowly wear off so you go from drops twice a day to keep it fully dilated most of the time to once a day so by late in the day its back to normal...and then there are lower dose drops that are shorter acting. We have had pretty good results and its not something that a kid can take off.

Thanks for the info.  In a couple months, we'll see how he does with the new eyeglass lens.  If there is no improvement, I will inquire about the drops as and alternative to the patch.

Hi all!  Not much going on in my little corner of the world.  I had a dream about one of my girls last night, and in the dream, I called her on her cell phone.  When she woke up this morning, there was a missed call at 2:30 a.m. from our landline phone.  I guess I actually did call her in my sleep last night.  How weird is that??!  It makes me wonder what else I've been doing in my sleep that I don't know about. hmm

Well JD, next week begins the 40 hour work week again. I'm sort of going to miss the day "off"  thing. I won't miss having to do two other peoples jobs all week. Isn't that crazy? We have to continue doing our job at 100 percent (using 32 hrs) and cover other people's work load? Hmm.
Well, I'm done working for the week.
I was thinking that Friday might be nice weather. I was dead wrong. Yuk, 26 degrees & wet! Maybe it's a day at the gym?
I've got a ton of projects to work on. No brainer, I guess.
