I've always had this ability to hear high pitched sounds when other people couldn't. Even worse, I hate high pitched sounds, they're like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. One Easter, my sister had a plastic egg, the kind that open with the seam in the middle, and was turning the two parts back and forth. The high pitched squeak drove me nuts, so of course, now they use those eggs to annoy me.
