We can, and we will lose some weight together. Whenever we need encouragement we'll be there for each other. I know you're looking forward to kicking my butt if I slack off.
I went today to get an Amy's Pesto Pizza from the supermarket.
First, it's a crazy small pizza, maybe 10 inch. Second, it's got almost no toppings. Pesto, very little cheese, some spinach and five slices of tomato.
It's very low fat, low cal. The whole pizza is 875 calories and about 20 grams of fat.
But it's NINE BUCKS! for a pizza that weighs less than a can of soda!
They charge more just because it's healthy. ridiculous.
I didn't get it. I couldn't pay that much for such a cheaply made pizza. I swear it weighs about one fourth of what a typical frozen pizza weighs. There's just no value in it at that price.
I've actually got quite a few low-fat recipes I'll blog about as we go on. Some really awesome tasting meals that are low cal and low fat.
I did buy a California Kitchens pizza. It's pretty good, made with spinach and garlic, with Fontina, Romano, Parmesan and mozzerella cheese (lightly of course).
it's a 12" pizza, and if you have half of it it's only about 440 calories and 16 grams of fat.
That's usually $8, but they were on sale 2 for $12.
That sounds like a better deal than the other one. And to prevent yourself from eating more than half, you could cut it in two before you bake it......make 2 meals out of one.
Messed up on my calculations on the weight loss, it's only about 12 pounds at the moment, maths was never my strong point, but still not too bad in a couple of weeks.
Stupid stone to pounds conversions, google lied to me!! Anyway had some nice fish and salad for dinner with some fruit to follow, so hope to lose a bit more 2moro.
Man, I'm already starting out on the wrong foot, I still don't have my weigh in.
I had to find a new scale. I figured Kroger or CVS would have a cheap one. The only one I found was $60!
So I finally bought a new scale today. I took the battery that we had bought for the old scale, never been used, and put it in the new scale. The new scale doesn't work. It's been the battery the whole time! So now, I likely have two working, nearly identical scales, and no battery to go in either one.
Thats ok, Mz. I haven't heard from a few others yet too.
Just for fun I stepped on the scale again tonight. I do know that it means nothing, but after 24 hours of trying to do better, I GAINED 4/10 of a pound.
I'd heard the same thing when I was in Weigh****chers. It has to do with all the food and liquid intake you have during the day, and it can make a difference of up to about 2 pounds. The WW counselor always told us the best time to get your true weight is in the AM after eliminating and before you start eating and drinking for your daily meals.
