Good morning all. I'm going to log into work in a minute and see if I still have a job. Nice thing about what I do for a living... I can find that out before they officially tell me so I know if I need to be in a hurry to get there.

Mema, is it WFH Thursday, or do you have to go in because of all the hullabaloo?
I hope your headache goes away soon Woo!
My sister emailed me this morning. At the end of the email she said, "ps. Take note: I am a teenager, and I used all correct grammer and spelling!" Can anyone find the irony in that sentence?
I get 50s today and tomorrow, 60s on Saturday and we are supposed to hit 70 on Sunday. I have to try and plan an "outside" weekend. At the very least there will be grilling involved.

The temps are in the low 40's here, headed to 48. That's WONDERBAR!!
After two days of steroids my dog is doing much better. I'm so pleased with this new vet I'm going to. They're really working with me to treat Ellie without putting me in the poor house. Yesterday they gave her a 15 day supply of steroids (enough for this incident and the next one when it arises). Only cost $3.00!!!
I had a boatload of weird dreams last night involving forum Members.
One of them was about MadMema. I was watching TV and the person they were talking to had the same last name, eventually they started calling her by her first name which was Mema. So she was Mema Mossey.
The other one was a bit more disturbing. I was on a road trip from here to northern California when I picked up Ghostdancer who was standing by the side of the road. SHe asked me to stop at a cemetary and while we stood outside of a crypt she started saying all these weird prayers or something. I got the sense she was messing with the devil (literally) so I told her I didn't want any part of it. She said she understood and I should go wait in the car. I could hear her continuing to say these prayers then suddenly there was crackling thunder and lightning. When it stopped Ghost came back out to the car and with her was this woman I used to work with 15 years ago but never particularly cared for (JD, you'll know her, it was Corrinne).
They got in the car and we kept driving, but Corrinne kept asking if I had any change she could have.

We were required to come in. I just logged in from home to a) find out if I needed to be on my 9AM call and b) to get that taken care of before walking into the carnage.
YAY! Pambo and I both made it!

Mema - that has to be a bit unnerving. Waking up and wondering if this is the day they lock you out of the system.
It sounds heartless, but really it is a matter of practicality. Given what we do for a living, it would be unwise to leave our access up if they are letting us go. Some people don't take the news gracefully and might be looking to cause some damage. Someone with my access and knowledge could potentially crash 2 of the 4 customer bearing networks and cripple the other two in under a minute if they wanted to. I wouldn't personally go that route... don't care to do federal prison time, but still some might.
JD... Hopefully I did something good to get on the news.

Wow, lots of god news today! Yay! I'm so happy for you, Mema and Pambo, that you're still employed. Riggs, good for you and Ellie!
I wonder, do any of you like to eat at Sonic? They opened a new one near here (they've never been in the Milwaukee area) and it actually is causing traffic jams! At one point, the news reported that there was a 2-hour wait to get food there! sn't that crazy?

Hi all! It's sunny and 40 here, supposed to hit high 50s over the weekend. Today was my last day of work for the week.....tomorrow is another paid professional day off.
Weird dream you had JR. Glad you didn't just take off and leave me at the cemetary. I'm glad to hear Ellie is doing better!!
We recently got one too. I heard similar stories about wait times. I can't see waiting for something like that. Especially since I have heard it really isn't worht waiting for.

She emailed me back saying, "ps. I did that on purpose to be funny."

I prefer Sonic over most other fast food.
Funny thing...when my brother came here to visit from Madison, WI, he and his friend ate at Sonic for almost every meal. They were singing its praises for days. He still talks wistfully about when he & Bob came & ate Sonic every day.
Hey mz Hartz- That reminds me of the time my ex and I were e-mailing back and forth. He was being especially ugly, so I responded that "other than your grammatical and spelling errors, you sound just like your father". He responded back, "your such a b!tch". It was so comical that he screwed up in just one sentence. I didn't have the heart to bring it to his attention and just let it go.
