Web is rubbing in the fact he's got a 50" TV on order, which is bigger than my 47" TV. Thus 47 is less than 50

We're still using Mrs. Web's stereo from high school (which has sound and operation problems) and a 25" standard def TV. We decided it was time to catch up with what is available now.

So, we're switching from crappy cable to HD satellite, a new tv, a new Yamaha home theater system, and a Blu-Ray DVD player.

The satellite dish is up, but I'm still waiting for the installer to come finish hooking it up.

We were pretty much sold on a 47" LCD but our TV store owner said "Why don't you wait until after I get back from the dealer's show in Tennessee and we'll see what is new there". When he got back, he told me that he had already ordered a couple Samsung 50" plasmas at the show. He is also our worship team leader and he said he could make me a deal on the new plasma for about the same price as the LCD he had in stock . . . so, we're waiting for them to come in to see what they look like. We don't actually have it "on order" but when the ones he already has coming get here, we will likely take one of them. The reviews I've been reading about Samsung plasmas have been VERY good.

I had enough points on my business credit card for a $250 Sears gift card. I have that card on its way. When the card gets here, I'll order the DVD player with the gift card so the DVD player will be free with my points.

We've been planning a living room remodel for a long time. We want to do it this summer or fall and we were planning on doing this stuff then, but we decided to go ahead and get this part done, plus we can be enjoying the HD now.
