Good day all!

I'm glad to hear that your eye is getting better, SG. You don't wear contacts, do you?

Well, Brian is pretty much laid off. He called his boss this morning, and he said that there are some jobs coming up but nothing for him right now, and if he wanted to, he could probably apply for unemployment. What boss-man doesn't know is that Brian has that new job coming up in less than a month. The new job is enough of a pay raise that we can make do until he starts it if we need to, especially since I'll still have tax office checks coming in, but a couple unemployment checks would make it easier.

Mz, make sure he goes down to unemployment right away, so there is no delay, cuz they don't give you back checks (at least here in FL)

He had a doctor's appointment this morning and the unemployment office is right across the street, so he's stopping by on his way home.  In Indiana, you don't get paid for your first week off anyway, but like FL, they don't pay back checks either.

Maybe later. I have yet to hit the shower today, so have had no reason to get nekkid. Besides, I prefer to be clothed while working. I don't have any desire to be nekkid while dealing with the co-workers, even in the virtual world. Brehznev claims to spend his WFH days sitting in a bean bag chair, wearing Speedos and eating Cheetos. That is horrifying enough!!

Hi all!  I had a major computer crash here the other day; it was bad enough that I had to format my hard drive. furious I did manage to get some files off my computer first.....my daughter's boyfriend lent me his external hard drive so I spent 2 days just copying whatever files I could get to so I wouldn't lose everything.  I'm gonna have to get me one of those!  It sure came in handy.  Anyway, I'm glad to be back up and running again; I missed you guys during the couple of days I couldn't get online. smile
